les anges is the first piece, performed and recorded by alessandra celletti, is part one of a longer 9 minute version with lyrics and strings.... alessandra's generosity in doing this is more than I can imagine, it's as if ernest hemingway took an interest in my poetry. alessandra is a master composer and pianist please find through my top friends. ouglas mccann and nadia leskinsa's collaboration consisted of nadia improvising over some original unmastered piano tracks composed in a light classical genre. nadia's classical, gypsy and jazz background inspired her improvisations, excluding 'love rules' which she tells me she spent some time putting together. 'love rules' is a unique piece to me, in that the violin voice is truly the piece, and when I wrote the original piano part, I never intended to overlay a voice. douglas is a former attorney, and nadia is a young bulgarian violinist on scholarship to Chapman University. these recordings were graciously done by gionata brunel who presently lives in Switzerland and is an accomplished drummer. les papillons d'arianna is dedicated to gionata's daughter, as it was written for her, in the last month's of her mother, vessna's carrying her. nadia's improvisation here, is remarkable simply for being composed by her in one take. my piano music has yet to be recorded on an acoustic grand, nor electronically with software, which is the next phase in the hopes of creating an instrumental album, hopefully with nadia's violin. the style of music I intend hopefully doesn't fall into one distinct category, however, film score writing, with allusions to michael gallasso (mood for love) yann tiersen's (amelie, toypiano piece), and Preisner (red, white and blue), are the main influences. music advisor, tatiana pavlova, hugely influenced all, yes every single note with her encouragement and identification of new ideas which could be turned into complete works. everyone should at least have one guardian angel friend like this in their lives. promoter steve tierlink took the beautiful sunset photos, and his true optimism overshadows the half empty glass. nothing truly worth achieving can ever really be completed alone, and in writing music, the music often seems to write itself, therefore I consider myself one notch below being an artist, rather a craftsman. yoly witkin's original dreamy paintings appear along side some of the music, she is coincidentally helping me score, as she is a virtuoso pianist, and since she sings too, I affectionately call her the 'triple threat'... also, italien artist marco casentini posted some of his linear paintings next to la valse, someone who has always encouraged my music, is somehow more important to me than other musicians. my experience at myspace has been amazing aside for someone sending a bulletin to my 1000 friends, telling them all about my sexual preferences, luckily I found out soon, but received many inquiries, concern, and others congratulating me for coming out of a closet, I never entered. too bizarre. mainly, though alessandra celleti has been so kind to mail me unique sheet music, and I just obtained dustin ohalloran's piano solos book, and I spent a week learning by ear all of Helen Jane Long's music (PIANO), and unexpectedly just wrote a new piece of music, inspired and prompted by her music, chanson a chelsea, and chelsea by the way, has sent me some incredible piano playing of beethoven's symphonies, I cherish forever. my many other friends at myspace, have shown such warmth, often putting my music on their sites, unbeknownst to me, this is so flattering. if you want music for free just email me and I will send it to you, if you want to buy it, I will forward the money to nadia the violinist, especially for love rules. you can hear 30 seconds of the embedded pieces, to get a sense of some of them, and I am happy to send them to you. I am really very lucky to have met lydia ashton, who is a composer with many credits who took the time to score the angel piece for me, and we hope to collaborate soon with string ideas.
