2001: DREAD was foundet by Ossy, at that time with Max, Hous and Frommer. At the beginning they covered Soulfly,
Sepultura and Pantera songs and started to rock the stages only a few months later. After a few gigs, Max, the leadsinger left the band,
also Alex, the one who followed was only one year part of DREAD.
2004: Ander, an already well known "frontpig" here in SouthTyrol, joined Ossy,
Hous and Frommer. From that day on the actual line-up was perfect: Ander (vocals), Ossy (guitar), Hous (bass) and Frommer (drums).
DREAD started to compose their own music, New-Trash coversongs were replaced with Deathcore made in Bolzano.
Supportgigs for Gurd, Destruction, Graveworm. Extrema, Corpse Fucking Art, Seeds of Sorrow, Disastrous Murmur and Ektomorf were the most important
ones on SouthTyrols festival stages. At the end of the year, DREAD finally recorded their first 4-Track-Demo-CD. As a result of very positive feedback
many concerts and an article in a local newspaper followed.
2005: DREAD won a bandcontest in Germany and their song "vomit my soul" was published
on the compilation "HITVERDÄCHTIG II" by the german record-company "Avena Music" which was released a year later!
2006: Ander, Ossy, Hous and Frommer had a gig on the "Talent Forum Stage" at the MetalCamp in Tolmin (Slovenia).
2007: At the beginning of the year Dread were on tour with Vital Remains through Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany and Scotland! In the month of July Ander has left DREAD suddenly for unknown reasons, but a new vocalist was found soon: Hatsch should be the frontman of DREAD and he joined the band in the month of August. Since this time DREAD has continued to rehearse all songs with the new member and look forward to have an amazing live debut!
