Every artist/producer that I like(d) within the past 20 years of my life inspired me (in)directly to do the thing right now that I enjoy so much. Producing and playing music and make people dance!
Grown up in a musical family, Dennis discovered the world of creating music at the age of 13. From scratch, he tried to make a lot of different kinds of electronic music that fitted his musical taste and within 1 year and a half, he knew that producing wasn’t enough. Dennis took dj-lessons from his older brother and started mixing his favorite dance tracks.
The first 2 years of being busy with music felt so good that he continued his search for one particular genre he could become better at. In the years that followed, Dennis builded up a passion for hardstyle music, learned how to build up a network and gained more knowledge about producing (, releasing) and dj’ing. But after 4 years in the scene, he wanted to extend his horizon and his musical interests became brighter...
In 2006, Dennis followed the dj/producer-course on the Rockacademie in Tilburg to improve his skills and to make a final decision on which music could fit his talents the most. Quickly he worked with singers, musicians and other people that lead him to his new destination: House Music.
Influenced by disco, funk, lounge, jazz and soul, Dennis found out that House was the music his heart belonged to. This genre offered him the opportunity to express his emotions and ideas.
After figuring out a new dj/producer-alias (with help of a dictionary), in December 2007, the first opportunity of a release was a fact. And it was definitely not the worst... His classmate Simon van Kesteren (a.k.a Soul Conspiracy/Raul Moros) needed a remix for his next release and before Dennis couldn’t even think about it, his first release on Soulfuric Trax could be found in record- and webshops all over the world. And that’s just where the D-Reflection story started...
Shortly after the release, he created a myspace account and discovered new friends and examples. People like Miguel Migs, Joey Youngman, Grant Nelson, Ralf Gum, Jimpster and a lot of others fully convinced this newbie with their music. This was it. This was the right path...
Right now, after almost 2 years in the scene, 8 official releases, a few radiomixes on Dutch national radio, reviews on weblog www.housejunks.com and bookings in several clubs in the Netherlands, D-Reflection is recognised by a lot of (inter)national dj’s and producers as the youngster with this undeniable passion for everything that has to do with soulful and warm quality house music.
When it comes down to his dj-career, Dennis’ main purpose is to convince people that the music doesn’t have to be rough to be danceable. “It’s all about the groove...”

Nick Maurer is a co-founder of the Chicago group Greenskeepers and father of tongue-in-cheek sound that made the band one of house music’s best kept secrets. His new solo title “Wash My Hands” is proof of Maurer’s uncanny ability to make the dance floor move and smile at the same time.Musically, Wash My Hands is a funky steamroller that will flatten anyone that dares stand in its way.
