Hailing from the Inland Empire and San Gabriel Valleys in Southern California, four intense musicians make up the high energy-hard rock/metal band “DROP 8.” Signed by independent music label “CSG Music,”
DROP 8 has a sound representative of Nu-Metal with influences of some older rock and metal roots. DROP 8 is armed with endorsements from Krank Amplification, Dean Guitars, Ludwig, Dunlop, Road Star Cables, and Knucklehead Strings.
DROP 8 has been compared to the likes of Disturbed, Metallica, Godsmack, and Black Label Society. Their live shows have been the band’s trademark and has propelled the group to a higher level. The live performances of DROP 8 have been credited as being a full frontal assault of a crushing wall of sound accompanied by a captivating display of energy and nothing short of it. DROP 8 is on their game with their debut CD “Brand New Aggression (BNA)." The compilation is comprised of songs with catchy melodies, powerful lyrics, solid rhythms, hooks, screaming riffs, and an aggressive punch that makes their sound unique and distinctive. Brand New Aggression was mixed by James Lugo (Vocal Asylum, Hollywood, Ca.) who has worked with major record labels such as Capitol, Sony, Lava/Atlantic, and Warner Brothers. BNA was mixed by Bill Dooley (Paramount Recording Studios, Hollywood, Ca.) who has an intimidating resume and has worked with legends such as Ozzy, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Motley Crue, and recently Black Label Society. BNA is scheduled to be released through CSG Music and D1 Distribution in late 2007. The members of DROP 8 are humble and truly appreciative of all supporters of the band and want to stress that “they” are just like you. They respect their peers and have a strong appreciation for the local music scene across the globe.
