It takes place at Gypsy Cafe in Pittsburgh's historic southside. Where our caravan of models, minstrals and miscreants, roll in 12 times a year to inspire artists as libations and creativity merge to create Dr. Sketchy's Anti Artschool! Come draw our lovely feature pinup model, Ashley Stone as she poses in costumes provide by our friends at Spotlight Costume. Prizes, games, and entertainment are presented. Suggested donation of $10. Must be 21 to imbibe and induldge in spirits. Liquid inspiration available for purchase at the bar as well as a limited menu. a portion of the proceeds benefit the Pittsburgh ToonSeum Gallery. learn more about the good doctor at drsketchy.com and while you are there buy the coloring book.

I got to finally go to a Dr.Sketchy show!  The White Trash art was so filthy and degrading it made me have sic 'n' wrong thoughts about my sister ... now if only I had a sister I'd be all set!  But really, I enjoyed every minute of it and I give emense credit to all the models and people who made that show possible. :-)  Thank you from the bottom of my morally depraved heart.  I'll be sure to be there for the next show !

Wonderful to meet you too!  I was very inspired by all that you are doing over there!  Are you all recovered from Comic Con?  Please KIT, and let me know a good time for Striptease Symposium to come out there and play!  I'd love to get planning in the works.  Take care!

Show us what you can do well!!

The SCDD are looking for a few good artists! We want to showcase the artistic
talent that our great city has by offering up a bout poster contest. Applicants are to submit an original piece of artwork inspired by roller derby to be used to promote our bouts. There will be a cash prize awarded as well as free tickets to an upcoming Steel City Derby Demons game! Students: this is a great item to add to your resume!

    Poster dimensions are 11 x 17 tabloid
Applicants can use any method or media they feel comfortable with. Illustration, photographs, you name it. We will add all the pertinent bout information so leave space in your design to do so.

We prefer you submit your art to us in adobe illustrator or photoshop formats using 300 dpi.

Zip or stuff the file upon sending. One submission per person. Winners will be chosen on June 15, 2009

The first design will be put to immediate use for our July 25th bout in which SCDD's Steel Hurin' face off against Canada's Hammer City Roller Girls.

    Send submissions to SCDDsubmissions@gmail.com
