Miguel Duarte Alonso nace en la ciudad de Motril, provincia de Granada (España). Desde sus comienzos, la pasión que siente por la guitarra eléctrica, es algo que se ve reflejado en cada una de sus canciones. A lo largo de la década de los noventa tocó en varios grupos de rock con los que dió conciertos, actuaciones en televisión, grabó varios demos y un LP.
A mediados de octubre de 1997 asiste en Talavera de la Reina (Toledo) al 1º Clinic que organiza Didáctica Musical. Este Clinic fue impartido por el virtuoso guitarrista norteamericano Joey Tafolla. Paralelamente a sus andaduras por el mundo del rock, al tener claro que lo que más le gusta es la música, Miguel Duarte se dedica a estudiar en el conservatorio la carrera de guitarra. En marzo de 1995, asiste en Motril (Granada) a un curso de piano enfocado hacia el blues impartido por el pianista de jazz latino; Chano Domínguez. Este curso fue organizado por el Conservatorio Elemental de Música de Motril. En octubre de 1996, obtiene el Premio de Honor, fin de Grado Elemental en la especialidad de Guitarra. En marzo de 1998 y mayo de 1999, realiza unos cursos de perfeccionamiento de guitarra impartidos por el concertista Marcos Socias. Dichos cursos fueron organizados por el Real Conservatorio Superior de Música “Victoria Eugenia” de Granada y llevados a cabo en Granada y La Zubia (Granada) respectivamente. En noviembre de 2001, termina el Grado Medio de Música, especialidad Guitarra, en el Real Conservatorio Superior de Música “Victoria Eugenia” de Granada, obteniendo el titulo de Profesor de Guitarra. En febrero de 2003 obtiene en el Real Conservatorio Superior de Música “Victoria Eugenia” de Granada, el Diploma de Instrumentista. En Marzo de 2006 Miguel Duarte obtiene en la Universidad de Almeria el Certificado de Aptitud pedagógica (C.A.P.) con la calificación de sobresaliente. A finales de junio del pasado año 2004 , bajo el seudónimo de Piraña D., Miguel Duarte saca a la luz su primera Demo en solitario; “Pequeña muestra de dolor”. Lo que nos ofrece Miguel en ella es un trabajo de carácter melancólico, oscuro e intimista, sin dejar a un lado su pasión por la electricidad y la contundencia del rock. Las canciones que contiene esta demo son 6: -Al borde de las interferencias-, -Los sueños, sueños son-, -Mi vida anterior-, -Entre conciencia y placer-, -Vacía- y -Brisa del mar-. En octubre de 2005 saca a la luz su segunda Demo en solitario: “Radiografía del sonido”. Está compuesta por tres canciones de rock instrumental donde la protagonista, indudablemente, es la Guitarra Eléctrica. Con esta Demo deja de utilizar el seudónimo de Piraña D. pasando a utilizar como nombre artístico su nombre real; Miguel Duarte. Las canciones que contiene son 3: -Ilusiones-, -Sentimiento mutuo- y -La mitad perdida-. Desde el comienzo de su andadura en solitario realiza sus maquetas sin colaboración alguna, ocupándose de todo íntegramente; desde la composición e interpretación de todos los instrumentos (la batería la realiza con una caja de ritmos Boss Dr. Rhythm 770 utilizando patrones inventados y creados por él mismo para cada canción) hasta la realización de las mezclas, diseño de las portadas, etc. Las grabaciones las realiza utilizando un 8 pistas Roland VS-880. Viernes 13 de Julio de 2007. El deseo que Miguel Duarte tiene por trabajar con elementos de su tierra dando su propio toque, aportando su propia visión actual y personal, pero por supuesto respetando la cultura de su gente, de sus raíces, hace que Miguel Duarte saqué a la luz en esa fecha, una nueva Demo de carácter más experimental en la cual trabaja con algunos de los palos del flamenco, creando algo nuevo, distinto. En las composiciones de esta Demo conviven guitarras eléctricas y flamencas, distintas culturas, el presente y el pasado buscando crear… un futuro. La Demo no se podía titular de otra manera: “Desde mis ojos”. Las canciones que contiene son 4: -De La Esperanza (Seguiriya Metal)-, -Como El Rosario De La Aurora (Bulería Heavy)-, -No Volvió La Paloma (Soleá Eléctrica)- y -Frente A La Arena (Rumba Metalera)-. En esta Demo Miguel Duarte vuelve a encargarse de todo; composición, tocar todos los instrumentos, mezclas, etc, a excepción de la voz de niña que se escucha en dos de las canciones; Claudia Duarte (lo más bonito que hay en el mundo). En este 2008, Miguel Duarte se ha hecho cargo de todas las guitarras en un tema titulado “Promesas” en el que colabora con el cantante y productor Luís Alcázar y con la cantante Inma Reivan. También se ha hecho cargo de todas las guitarras que incluye el nuevo elepé del grupo Com.pulsion: “Made in china”, y ha participado como guitarrista en un Remix realizado a una canción del grupo De/Vision, titulada; “Life is suffering”, perteneciente a su último disco: “NOOB”. En la actualidad, Miguel Duarte prepara material con su nuevo grupo -DIGITAL GROUND-. Paralelamente a esto, ha realizado recientemente un curso de análisis musical para profesores de Conservatorio y un curso sobre programaciones y unidades didácticas. Miguel, inmerso en la docencia, está preparándose de cara a las próximas oposiciones para el Cuerpo de Profesores de Música y Artes Escénicas que se celebrarán en este 2010.
MIGUEL DUARTE. -BIOGRAPHY-
Miguel Duarte Alonso was born in Motril (Granada -Spain). From the beginning, the passion he feels for the electrical guitar is reflected in each of his songs. Throughout the nineties he played in several rock bands with which they gave concerts, television shows, recorded several demos and an LP.
In the middle of October of 1997, Miguel travels to Talavera de la Reina (Toledo-Spain) to asist to the first Clinic organized by “Didáctica Musical”. This Clinic was given by the virtuous North American guitarist Joey Tafolla.
Parallel to his gaits around the world of the rock, Miguel Duarte realizes his studies of guitar in the conservatoire.
In March of 1995 he asist at a course of piano focused towards the blues,and given by the pianist of Latin jazz; Chano Domínguez.
In 1996, October, he obtains Honor's prize, purpose of Elementary Degree in the speciality of Guitar.
In March of 1998 and May of 1999, he realizes a few courses of development of guitar given by the soloist Marcos Socias in Granada.
In November, 2001, Miguel finishes the Average Degree of Music, speciality Guitar, in the Most top Royal Conservatoire of Musical "Victoria Eugenia" of Granada, obtaining teacher's degree of Guitar.
In February, 2003, he obtains the Instrumentalist's diploma in the same center of Studies.
In March, 2006 Michael Duarte obtains in Almeria the Certified's university of pedagogic Aptitude (C.A.P.) with the qualification of distinction.
At the end of June of last year 2004, under the pseudonym of Piraña D., Miguel Duarte extracts to the light his first one Demo in solitarily: “Pequeña muestra de dolor” (Small sample of pain). Is this first work melancholy, dark character and intimist one, without leaving aside his passion for the electricity and the Rock..s forcefulness. This Demo contains 6 songs: Al borde de las interferencias-, -Los sueños, sueños son-, -Mi vida anterior-, -Entre conciencia y placer-, -Vacía- and -Brisa del mar-.
In Octover, 2005, he brings to light his second solo demo: “Radiografía del sonido” (ray of sound). It consists of three songs rock instrumental where the protagonist, undoubtedly, is the electric guitar; With this Demo stop using the pseudonym D. Piraña going to use as a stage name his real name; Miguel Duarte. This Demo contains 3 songs: -Ilusiones-, -Sentimiento mutuo- and -La mitad perdida-.
Since the beginning of his journey alone makes their models without any collaboration, addressing everything in full, from the composition and interpretation of all instruments (the battery is performed with a drum machine Boss Dr. 770 Rhythm patterns using invented and created by himself for each song) until the completion of mixtures, design covers, etc..
His recordings are performed using an 8 tracks Roland VS-880. The desire to Miguel Duarte is working with elements of their land and giving his own touch, contributing his own current and personal vision, but certainly respecting the culture of his people, of his roots, it makes that Miguel Duarte extracted to the light in this date, on Friday, the 13th of July, 2007 Octover, a new Demo of more experimental character at whom he is employed with some of the sticks of the Flamenco Style, creating something new, different.
In the compositions of this Demo live flamenco and electric guitars, different cultures, present and past… looking to create a future. The Demo holder could not be otherwise: “Desde mis ojos” (Since my eyes). The songs are containing 4: De la esperanza (Seguiriya metal)-, -Como el rosario de la aurora (Bulería heavy)-, -No volvió la paloma (Soleá eléctrica)- and -Frente a la arena (Rumba Metalera)-.
In this demo Miguel Duarte returns to handle everything; composition, playing all the instruments, mixes, etc., except for that little girl's voice is heard in two of the songs; Claudia Duarte (his son).
In this 2008, Miguel Duarte has taken charge of all the guitars in an item entitled "Promesas" (Promises) in which he collaborates with the singer and producer Luis Alcázar and the singer Inma Reivan. It has also been the guitarist of the new LP of Com.pulsion: "Made in China", and has participated as a guitarist in a remix of a song from the group De/Vision, titled "Life is suffering", from your album: "NOOB".
At present, Miguel Duarte prepares material with his new group -DIGITAL GROUND-. Parallel to this, has recently completed a course in musical analysis for teachers of the Conservatory and a course on programming and teaching units. Miguel, immersed in teaching, is preparing for the competitions for Music and Performing Arts to be held in this 2010.

Por cierto, hoy he podido echar un vistazo más amplio a tu Space y escuchar las canciones. Suenan bastante bien, pero especialmente me ha gustado “De la Esperanza”.
Aunque las comparaciones son odiosas, la que voy hacer, es un cumplido (por la admiración que siento hacia el grupo), y es que me ha recordado a los inicios de Triana y Medina Azahara.
Enhorabuena, por unir los estilos (dos mis pasiones).
Mis raíces, mi tierra, a la que adoro, con el toque flamenco y la guitarra eléctrica, que es lo que siento, como soy. Un beso.
