Dub City is monthly dubstep movement in Amsterdam. The night starts with chilled out dubby vibes and builds up to dancefloor oriented dubstep tunage. Dub City highlight a strong group of local talent with residents like "Dj. Gomes The G-Man Oi! productions, Vader, Bojcot Selectah, Osiris, VJ Lennart with your host Mc. Drew... Always inviting in some of your best productions, Dj's and producers out there to fill out the night with style.
In addition to big tunes, Dub City parties are filled with lots of fun atmosphere and things to do, from video game consoles set up on big TV's and projected onto film screens where people can fight it out on Soul Calibre, guide Mario through his pixelated world, tear it up on Tony Hawk, or space out on whatever games we decided to bring or you can even bring your own game, enjoy the great moment with friends and others. The smoking room upstairs is almost too chill; set up with a big ass tv and plenty of places to sit, book shelves, phonograph, and more, this is the dopest smoke room in all of amsterdam.

Two abstract urban meditations composed by French visual artist Jérôme Schlomoff.
Both filmed with a pinhole movie 35mm camera, these two films create mysterious and eerie portraits of the two cities, a ghostly New York City under a snowstorm and a poetical exploration of Amsterdam as a city suspended between past, present and future, in a visual voyage filmed at some of the city’s building sites.
Both films are going to be presented with a live soundtrack performed by experimental hip-hop producer Smooth One and bass player Mouard Baali.
Smooth One biographical notes:
Smooth One comes from the abstract hip-hop scene. He wrote with Dj cam the two first album in 1996 and 1998, Underground Vibes and Substance. After a live album recorded in « Transmusicales » festival in Rennes and many remix for Air, Tek9 and Silent Poets, Smooth One decided to work alone, mainly on film music, and managing his own label, Superflux, which also published the soundtrack of

Niemand minder dan Cocaine Cowboys Willie Wartaal en Bas Bron begeleiden de heren met een gebalanceerde mix van smakeloosheid, platvloerse geilheid, ordinaire mensen, mint-groene huizen en een gezonde dosis Maybach Music.
