Duddy Breeks is a trio of musicians who play traditional music. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, they play Scottish and Irish jigs reels and strathspeys not usually heard locally in the Mississippi river valley. Occasionally they might play Welsh and Breton tunes.
From time to time, people will come up and ask us about tunes that sound familiar to them from listening to old-time or bluegrass music. Many of the tunes we play came across the Atlantic with early settlers and were absorbed into the North American culture under different titles.
