"Soon the day will come when science will win victory over error, justice a victory over injustice, and human love a victory over human hatred and ignorance."
~ Magnus Hirschfeld
About me: I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.1
Robert Dunbar is the author of the supernatural thrillers THE PINES and THE SHORE, both of which achieved extraordinary levels of critical acclaim. Reviewers have called THE PINES a “masterpiece” and “a classic of modern horror,” and THE SHORE has been praised as “one of the best books to come out of the horror genre in years.” He has also contributed fiction to genre publications like Cemetery Dance, Dark Wisdom, Inhuman, Bare Bone, City Slab: Urban Tales of the Grotesque, Apex Digest of Science Fiction and Horror and The Edge: Tales of Suspense. But horror has only recently become the principal focus of Dunbar’s career. As a film, theater, dance and literary
critic, he has penned articles for publications as diverse as Art & Understanding, Cineaste, Dance Magazine, On Stage and Writers Digest. Both his mainstream fiction and his poetry have appeared in scores of literary journals, including the internationally acclaimed Descant. Several of his plays have been produced in regional theatres, and one of them – the comedy BATS – was published in book form. Dunbar has also written and produced for public television and has scripted programs for The Discovery Channel, The Travel Channel, HGTV and the Fine Living Network. He has been a guest on a wide variety of television shows, including ABC’s Scariest Places on Earth and The History Channel’s Weird US. Paperback editions of THE PINES and THE SHORE will soon be released by Leisure Books, and MARTYRS & MONSTERS – a collection of his short fiction – is forthcoming from Delirium Books. Dunbar’s current projects include a nonfiction book and a film script, as well as a new novel.

I have a copy of THE PINES and will be reading it soon. I look forward to talking with you. I, too, write horror, GLBT horror in the vein of Stephen King in that I use my area I live as the background for the stories. Take care!
Many thanks for the add, Rob. And congratulations on the juggernaut success of the new edition of THE PINES. The Hellnotes review in particular is most impressive. I think I must get my hands on this one. Best wishes for continued triumphs.
Hello, Rob. It's great to see you here at the darkside, uh, I mean, MySpace. It was great talking with you online at your author chat at The Lost and the Damned a couple of months back, and it was a pleasure to finally see THE PINES at Delirium. Wishing you excellent success with it!
