Currently Sweden's hottest export, THOSE DANCING DAYS combine "Sweet as apple-pie pop" with a devilishly sassy Northern Soul and it's this unique combination that has the got the whole of the UK falling over itself and for good reason too!

The subtle dynamics in their songwriting of JOHN and JEHN and the balance between chaos and beauty and the mastery of heartbreaking melodies Expect beautifully skewed hymns in the key of Serge Gainsbourg.

Wakefield's THE RESEARCH are makers of fun, but also write songs that are like punches in the stomach that knock the wind out of you but afterwards you agree that you feel much better for it.

I doubt any myspace comment can really sum up any coherent feeling - but I hope here my views may be shared. I loved Jerry as an artist, as a musician and above all as a friend. I admired him totally and felt privileged working with him music and films. I felt total creative overdrive during these collaborations and i realise he alongside the magnificent Dust Collectors always brought the best out of me. As we all are I am deeply saddened by his loss. May his passion, artistry and soul live on.

Playing with Jerry in Dust Collectors and being his friend was for me a special privilege. He was always a total inspiration and will continue to be so, as memories and the legacy of his work live on! His spirit lives on in the Dust Collectors. Respect.

Really sad news.
Jerry was a great guy and a
great artist with many strings
to his bow.
I'd hoped that one day I might
have another chance to play a gig
with the man, I really enjoyed the
set I played with the concertinas,
me on guitar with him to my left banging on a plastic container in
his flat cap and his overall;
he'll be missed.
I'd gladly play any gig in his honour.

Comfortism

Apr 6 2008 11:48 PM

Join in all the fun Mr Dust!

This Saturday I have a special performance of my new show. It's having it's proper premier in Aberystwyth the following week but because there is so much audience participation I need to have a final "rehearsal" in front of more than my director.

It is at the Duke of York.

http://www. dukeofyork. org/index. html

Saturday 12th April 7:30 FREE (over by 9:15) - upstairs (Dolly's Bar I think!)

Comfortism do the right thing...but not right now
"Extremely short, very surreal plays.
What was David Koresh thinking?
Do you wish you'd met Chairman Mao?
Do old men fart in your face?
An evening guaranteed to disgust, confuse and tickle.
With a heaped teaspoon of audience participation!!”

I'm sure it will be fun!
