a high school dance gone wrong......... "Dustin & Garret I have heard hardly any praise for these guys, which is ridiculous. I rate them very high, alongside highfliers like Justice and Digitalism. They are just as good and I'm not even joking. Better Than Promo will hit you as a brilliant song, a true artrock dance classic as the bass kicks in and it turns any crowd into a dancing frenzy. Tyrannosaurus has the best introduction drums and the overdriven bass of the song beats any Digitalism song anyday, pure genius. If there is any justice (lol) these guys will become famous." ...."SPOT THE MONSTER"...... "I’m not sure how long “Better Than Promo” has been up on Dustin & Garret’s MySpace… perhaps it’s been there all along and I’m just not that observant. BUUUUUUT… I am loving it. Generally I hate people who start stories off with “I was sooo drunk last night…” but this might be the one exception. Not as big as their “Tyrannosaurus” track, this one has more of a Teenagers/lost youth vibe to it… “Better Than Promo” will be the new art school drop out anthem." ...."BIG STEREO"...... "“Tyrannosaurus” by Dustin and Garret is aptly named — this track is huge, and it’s gonna tear you to pieces or swallow you whole. If we were still hunting for the dirtiest sounds then we’d say we found it… “Tyrannosaurus” is the dirtiest sounding track you’re gonna hear west of the Atlantic Ocean."...."BIG STEREO"...... "Ddddddamn son, was all I could say when I heard this remix of Three 6 Mafia’s ode to weed, alcohol & bitches; ‘Stay Fly’ (featuring 8ball & MJG). Listen to the soaring, distorted riffs the boys added to the cut. Sounds like Kavinsky &/or Justice were in the studio helping engineer this piece. Dustin & Garret a.k.a. D&G hail from Vancover, Canada & as their myspace states they are back & “about to bring back retro rave… fuck your New Rave”!
