I live in San Francisco, and enjoy composing and writing. My music would probably best be described, like Leroy Anderson's, as "light concert music". Like Leroy Anderson, my late cousin, I exist in a world where "serious" art music is rather atonal and doesn't appeal to the average listener. What I like to write, however, is fairly melodic and conforms more to Mozart's style than that of Bartok or Carter.
I play trumpet, piano, guitar, dulcimer, and recorder, and have also taught cello lessons to beginners. I write fiction, and enjoy it as a hobby. Even though I consider writing a hobby, somehow I managed to publish a collection of short stories as a book. I mostly write about issues that I feel, although my first writing project was Star Trek fan fiction. My current projects are a musical that's based on a true story, which we will put to film, and a few film scores that I'm working on. I am in post-production for my short musical film "Flight to Sinai". The whole cast and crew is really excited, and I'm thrilled to be seeing my vision come to life. I can't wait to be done and have a great film out there!
I am also the music minister at Saint Paulus Lutheran church, and am looking to build a music program there. Contact me if you're interesting in coming to sing or play an instrument!

My Equipment (Enough people have asked about my horns, here they are):
Yamaha Allegro Bb: Used for most classical and section playing. It's my favorite horn, as it is capable of a good rich tone and has a nice bright ring when I want it.
Bach Stradavarius C: Used for concert pitch classical and section playing, or whenever I don't feel like transposing vocal scores. It has the body of a 43 C and the bell of a 238G. The bell is tunable, a modification done by Dick Atwright of Best Instrument Repair in Oakland, CA.
Conn Vocabell 40B Bb: Vintage 1937, used for jazz lead and outdoor playing, nice ring in the upper register.
Amati Flugelhorn Bb: Used for all my flugelhorn needs. Has no laquer and added 3rd valve slide trigger.
Bach Omega: My bitch horn. This trumpet has been to hell and back through high school and TCU marching band, and is now being used by my younger brother Grant as he learns trumpet. It's taken damage, and is showing cracks, but the valves still work and it sounds far better than the McKinney school trumpets.
Mouthpieces: Stork Custom 2D26C: my standard mouthpiece for most playing situations.
Kelly 1-1/2 C: Plastic, but orchestral sized. Used for outdoor and pit gigs when a cold or hot mouthpiece is a bad thing.
JazzTec 9F: For jazz lead or high range recording only. The number does not correspond to Bach sizes, and it's closer to the 14A4A
