Let's keep this short and sweet. Hi, They call me D-Why....but you can call me D. Im 21 years old. I was born in New York City and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. Upon graduating from West Virginia University in May 2009, I relocated to Brooklyn, New York to spread my wings.

I started writing songs in late 2005 in my freshman dorm room. I've come a long way in 4 years. I take pride in improvement. I try to improve with every song I make. I wouldn't classify my music into any one category, because I just write what I feel. I believe that when you do that, your music can bend genres and break boundaries. I'm inspired by everything and everyone around me. I don't want to be known as the "next" anybody. I just want to be the first "D-Why".

My friends tell me I'm dope. Girls tell me I'm cute. My mom tells me I'm handsome. My dad tells me I'm talented. My little brother tells me I suck. But, I just tell myself to keep doing it. I've learned that life is what YOU make of it. So you have to go out there and get what you want. Reach for the stars--even if you land in the clouds, it's better than on the ground where you started.

I have love for everybody who is out there doing it. As long as you are being YOU and are true to yourself, that's what's up. If your nice I will applaude you and If you're not I might tell you to improve. But, one thing I will never do is knock your hustle.

I'm a thinker, I'm a dreamer, I'm an artist, and really I'm just a young kid trying to have fun. So have some fun with me.
