Of of my earliest memories one particular moment stands out. Huddled in front of an old 80's television set with my siblings watching Michael Jackson's video "Billy Jean". Sitting in childhood awe and amazed at the sounds, colours and creation that unfolded before my eyes. I remember clear as day turning to my sister the eldest of us and asking "where does the music come from?" and not believing her when she told me that "people" write songs. Real men and women??
Approaching three decades later my musical tastes and inspirations may have changed and varied but my awe at the force that music possess' has not. Whether it be the first time you hear the breakdown in "Born To Run", the bitterness in a wounded Dylan's when he sings "you're and idiot babe it's a wonder that you still know how to breathe" or the sadness in a young Townes Van Zandt's voice singing "it's easier then waiting around to die", I have been and always will be moved by music that is honest, passionate and pure.
In my time as a working musician I have travelled the globe playing and singing my songs to and with some more of music's dedicated followers and in every town I perform and on every friends floor, bar or car I sleep on or in I always drift off with a song in my head.
On this page you can listen to some of these songs that have come to me in some part of some day in some altogether strange way. So you know when I sing these songs I always have and will try to do it, honestly, passionatly and purely.
