As gravações do primeiro álbum iniciaram-se em 2003 nos estúdios da OCV em Lisboa. O álbum viria a ser misturado em Los Angeles pelo produtor Cameron Webb (Social Distortion, Motorhead, etc) e pelo guitarrista da banda Miguel Marques e conta com um dueto com Joey Cape, vocalista de uma das mais reconhecidas bandas de PunkRock mundial – LAGWAGON.
“Forever In A Day” é, então, editado em Abril 2004, na Bélgica, Holanda, Alemanha e Dinamarca pela Funtime Records e, mais tarde, em Portugal, pela Raging Planet e, no Brasil, pela Highlight Sounds (Danko Jones, etc), onde contou com o apoio da MTV Brasil. Em Fevereiro de 2006, entra no mercado japonês, pela mão da grandiosa CR Japan, e criou um verdadeiro alvoroço nipónico.
Em Portugal, o feedback foi imediato – o primeiro single “Forever in a Day” atingiu a 2ª posição na MTV Hit list, e manteve-se no TOP10 durante 15 semanas consecutivas. O segundo single “That’s not the right way” entrou directamente para a 6ª posição da contagem.
As edições deram origem a uma tournée europeia com muito sucesso, e a uma sucessão de grandes concertos em Portugal, dos quais se destacam o suporte a Backyard Babies, The Offspring (Coliseu dos Recreios), e Toy Dolls (Lisboa e Porto).
O ano de 2005 foi marcado por duas muito bem sucedidas tournés em Franca e na Suíça, Holanda, Bélgica e Alemanha, que receberam uma extraordinária reacção do público e do mercado. Seguiram-se, por isso, repetidas visitas a estes países. No mesmo ano, os Easyway estreiam-se no festival Super Bock Super Rock, ao lado de Turbonegro e The Hives.
Ainda em 2005, a banda entra em estúdio para gravar o segundo álbum, “Can You Keep A Secret”, no Generator Music Studios, que segue posteriormente para a Suécia, para ser misturado por Pelle Saether (Bombshell Rocks, No Fun at All) e masterizado por Peter in de Betou (Europe, Rammstein, Millencolin, etc).
O disco chega às lojas em 2006, pela Zona Música e ultrapassa largamente o sucesso de “Forever in a day”. O single “Hush Baby” foi número um entre as novas entradas no airplay nacional, e o vídeo entrou directamente para número 1 do TOP WORTEN da SIC Radical e para número 7 da MTV Hitlist.
O tema “October 9th” fez também parte do soundtrack da série de sucesso “Morangos com Açúcar”, enquanto a banda percorria o país em tournée.
No mesmo ano, assinam um contrato mundial com a Universal Publishing, e editam no Japão, Holanda, Bélgica e Espanha.
Em 2007 dão inicio a um projecto absolutamente inovador e 2009 é o ano da emancipação.
Enquanto se repetem shows de sucesso como a VANS Club Tour com No Fun at All em Espanha, a partilha de palco com Millencolin no Incrivel Almadense, e NOFX no Pavilhão dos Lombos, a actuação no Festival Extremusika, Merida, Espanha, com The Misfits, Toy Dolls e Bad Religion, assim como o festival Skatefest na Bélgica, onde foram co-headliners, a banda testa as suas capacidades ao extremo e produz não só um novo álbum (nos Generator Music Studios e com Miguel Marques), mais maduro e abrangente, como se aventura numa longa metragem.
Laudamus Vita, o novo disco e filme, testemunham a extraordinária força de vontade e de trabalho dos Easyway. Eles escreveram o guião, produziram, filmaram e editaram este projecto, com o apoio de um enorme número de profissionais que cederam o seu tempo, sabedoria e experiência para tornar possível este feito inédito em Portugal.
The Viewer, o primeiro single, é um dueto com Sarah Bettens (K’s Choice) e chegou ao público no dia 6 de Outubro, em apresentação exclusiva na Antena 3 e MTV.
Dezembro foi altura de testar a receptividade do público e alargar a abragência da banda, com a apresentação do filme e album ao vivo, no cinema S Jorge em Lisboa, inserido no festival Super Bock em Stock. As reações foram unânimes: estamos perante um trabalho de uma enorme qualidade técnica e criativa, e os Easyway são os pioneiros de uma nova forma de abordar a música.
O novo album é editado digitalmente em Dezembro, na Nokia Music Store, e em Março chegará às lojas a sua edição física, num special pack que incluirá o album e o filme, entre outros extras exclusivos.
LAUDAMUS VITA é a prova de como os EASYWAY mudaram a sua sonoridade, de como nos últimos anos se entregaram de corpo e alma à estrada, e da evolução musical e pessoal por que passaram, enquanto criavam algo extraordinário.

The recordings for the first album started in 2003, at OCV Studios in Lisbon. The upcoming album would soon be mixed by Cameron Webb (Social Distortion, Motorhead, etc.) and featured a duet with Joey Cape, singer for one of the most well-known punkrock bands in the world – LAGWAGON.
“Forever in a Day” is released in April 2004 in Belgium, Holland, Germany and Denmark through Funtime Records, and later in Portugal on Raging Planet, and Brazil on Highlight Sounds (Danko Jones, Millencolin) supported by MTV Brazil.
In February 2006 the band enters the Japanese market through the big CR Japan, where it became an instant hype.
In Portugal, the feedback was immediate. The band’s first single “Forever in a Day” reached number 2 on MTV’s Hit list, and remained in the Top10 for 15 weeks, while the second single “That’s not the right way” went straight to number 6 on the countdown.
These releases gave room for a very successful European tour, and a string of big shows in Portugal supporting bands like The Offspring and The Toy Dolls.
2005 was marked by two extremely successful tours in France, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium and Germany, that gathered an awesome feedback both from the audience and the market. Several others shows in these countries followed.
On the same year, the band debuts at SuperBock SuperRock festival in Lisbon, along with The Turbonegro, and The Hives.
Still in 2005, the band enters GeneratorMusic Studios to record the 2nd album. “Can you Keep a Secret” was mixed by Pelle Saether (Bombshell Rocks, No Fun at All), and mastered by Peter in the Betou (Europe, Rammstein, Millencolin, etc).
The album was released in 2006 through Zona Musica, and widely surpasses the success of “Forever in a Day”. The single “Hush Baby” was number 1 on the new national airplay entries, and the video went straight to number 1 on SIC Radical’s TOP Worten, and number 7 on MTV’s Hit list.
While the band was on the road in Portugal, the single “October 9th” was playing as part of the soundtrack for the successful TV show “Morangos com Açucar”.
On the same year, the band signs a worldwide deal with Universal Publishing, and release “Can you Keep a Secret” in Japan, Holland, Belgium and Spain.
In 2007, they start a truly one of a kind project, and 2009 is the year of emancipation.
While still playing successful shows around Europe, like the Vans Club Tour with No Fun at All (Spain), opening act for Millencolin (Lisbon), Festival Extremusika with The Misfits, The Toy Dolls and Bad Religion (Spain), and headlining Skatefest in Belgium, the band tests their abilities to the maximum and produces not only a more mature and overwhelming new album (recorded and produced at GeneratorMusic Studios by Miguel S. Marques), but also a full length motion picture.
LAUDAMUS VITA was written & directed by Easyway’s drummer Danilo Warick, who also was in charge of Production along with Photography Director Miguel Manso, and backed by Easyway & Rafaela Ribas as co-producers, and a group of companies and professionals that supported this endeavour.
The Audio Production was made entirely by the guitarist Miguel S. Marques.
The first single “The Viewer“ is a duet featuring the talented Sarah Bettens (K’s Choice), and reached the audience on October 6th exclusively through MTV and Antena3 national radio.
December was the time to get the first feedback from the audience, presenting for the first time the movie and album live at Cinema São Jorge in Lisbon, on the SuperBock in Stock Festival. The reaction was unanimous- we are beholding a project of unmatched technical and creative quality in the music business, and EASYWAY are the pioneers in a new way of approaching music.
The new album was released digitally on Nokia Music Store, and will see the light of day in March through a special DVD/CD edition, including the full length motion picture, and other extras.
LAUDAMUS VITA is without doubt, proof of the way EASYWAY have changed the way they sound, and of the way they have embraced these past few years touring intensively, evolving musically and personally, and building something extraordinary.

LAUDAMUS VITA é o resultado da vontade de uma banda em não fazer apenas mais um album, mas sim fazer aquilo que ninguém achava possivel: um ALBUM e um FILME!
Desde 1982 quando os Pink Floyd e o realizador britânico Alan Parker lançaram o filme musical "The Wall", baseado no seu próprio álbum, que nenhuma outra banda tinha embarcado num esforço desta dimensão, muito menos uma banda independente.
LAUDAMUS VITA é uma longa metragem cujo o argumento e a realização ficou a cargo do baterista da banda, Danilo Warick, que também geriu toda a produção juntamente com o director de fotografia Miguel Manso, sendo a Co-Produção feita pelos EASYWAY e Rafaela Ribas. A produção áudio ficou a cargo do guitarrista da banda Miguel S. Marques.
O argumento foi dividido em 18 capítulos para que a banda pudesse criar cada música e letra, dentro do ambiente necessário para cada cena, de maneira a que não só o filme mas também a própria música ajudasse a contar a história.
Se acham que ter um produtor musical e um realizador na mesma banda não era o suficiente, então saibam que todo o artwork ficou a cargo do baixista da banda Miguel P. Marques.

It’s been almost over 30 years, since we’ve seen a band have this kind of initiative! LAUDAMUS VITA is the creation of a band that didn't want to limit themselves to writing just one more album, so they did what nobody thought could be possible...they made an ALBUM and a MOVIE!
Since 1982 when the British director Alan Parker & Pink Floyd released the musical film "The Wall", based on the 1979 album, that no other band attempted to embark in such an endeavor, let alone an independent band!
A motion picture written & directed by Easyway’s drummer Danilo Warick, who also was in charge of Production along with Photography Director Miguel Manso, and backed by Easyway & Rafaela Ribas as co-producers.
The Audio Production was made entirely by the guitarist Miguel S. Marques.
The script was divided into 18 chapters, so that the band could create the correct ambience for each scene through lyrics and songs, and have not only the images telling the story, but the whole soundtrack having an important part in it.
As if having a Music Producer and a Director in the band wasn't enough, all the artwork was done by Easyway’s bass player Miguel P. Marques.
