Ecthirion aims to be as innovative as possible by blending many varied styles and textures to create an atmospheric sound which progresses through dark as well as light passages. Ecthirion don't want to be compared with any particular band or put into any category, this gives freedom to express different emotions through music without being limited to a specific genre. Thus far Ecthirion have experimented with most styles of metal in some way fusing them with classical, soundtrack, folk, eastern music, spanish music and even a bit of jazz. The jazz influence however is more subtle and can mainly be heard in the ragtime piano solo in "Immortality" as well as Simons lead guitar work. The new album will vary from the EP to keep things interesting.

Bio;
Ecthirion are a new band formed a few years ago by Gabriel Neale and Simon Treasure. At first the bands vision was more along the lines of power metal and viking metal, though as time has passed it has broadened noticeably. Ecthirion have just released a 5 track EP which shows many varied styles of music fused into one, this will open up doors for the future and also give an element of unpredictability about the band. While the EP was being recorded Eugen Dodenhoeft took interest in singing on it and also offered to mix it, this was great news as it would make the release a much more professional product. Later Soundmass took interest in signing the band, this enabled them to distribute their release well and get people talking. Currently the Band are working towards a new release which will be a full length album with at least 60 minutes worth of music, guest musicians have been found for the new release and will be announced when the appropriate time comes. It must be taken into account that the band hasn't had a permanent vocalist in its line-up, this offers an element of freedom and makes it possible to make each release stand out using different guest vocalists for each, though hopefully in the future a permanent singer will be found. The band aims to create emotional music which embraces you into its atmosphere as well as being inspirational and uplifting, the new album will show many new textures both dark and light, slow and fast, and much more! Metal On!!

This is probably Christopher Lee's last album: he will be 88 soon - although with his energy, he might well reach 100!! :)
We do appreciate your support. If you haven't already done so, please check the samples we have uploaded for "Charlemagne: By the Sword and the Cross".
£leTriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check £leTriKa out!
Hugs from Brazil, Claudio David

no I'm a teacher, graduated from uni two years ago. Not got any major plans for Christmas, going to see Arsenal play at home at the Emirates Stadium on the 19th which I'm really looking forward to, and spending time with family of course. Look forward to hearing the new music in the new year!
hey what's up with the best UK metal band?! It's nearly Christmas and I can't wait for the holiday to come, I need a well earned break! Hope you are all well and that the new album is shaping up nicely. Peace Ewen
new t-shirt designs look amazing, really cool stuff! I'm very excited about your new album...it's going to be so epic at at least an hour long! Have you listened to the new nephesh album yet? They're very similar to you. I really like it, best black/extreme metal band I've heard besides yourselves. I'm now on twitter and have a blog site too. www.twitter.com/ecebsworth & www.ewenebsworth.blogspot.com sorry for the shameless self promotion haha.
