I have always wanted to 'help' others. Often, at the expense of taking care of myself. Without that strong of a foundation, however, it would prove hard to sustain my good intentions for any given length of time. Why am I being so honest and transparent? Because I know I'm not alone. I believe, given the opportunity and perfect conditions, most people are good and they truly desire to be more benevolent. Problems arise when we foolishly believe that if we save 'more' for ourselves, we'll eventually become these benevolent creatures at some leveling off point. In a word, bullshit. We are, today, as we will be, then. So whatever your good intentions are, without some form of action today that proves you are who you say you are, stop lying to yourselves and admit that you're selfish. If you aren't, then reach back and help another brother.
