Electra grew up in Athens, Greece and attended a Musical High School where she started to develop professionally her musical skills in theory, singing, and piano. During her stay in Greece she performed with all the famous performers in the music industry. Her performances gave her the chance to open her mind in different styles of music, especially Greek. Once she graduated, wanting to perfect her skills in each and every aspect of a great musician, she decided to come back to Los Angeles, California and continue her studies. Having been accepted through auditions in all three universities Cal Arts, UCLA, and California State University of Northridge (CSUN), she decided to attend CSUN. During her time in CSUN Electra was awarded with a vocal scholarship and with the society of singers award. She performed numerous times as solo and in opera productions. She received her Bachelors degree in Music-vocal performance in spring 2007. She has studied vocals with some of the top vocal teachers/coaches both in Greece and the United States, such as Elisabeth Howard, Dennis Parnell, Monica Margolis, Nicole Prior from the Elizabeth Howard Vocal Academy, and Linda Stones. She has been trained in Classical, Musical Theatre, R&B, Pop, and is constantly testing her ability, as conductor Steve Piazza said, “Electra’s growth is just phenomenal!” Besides being a performer, Electra is a cerified vocal power instructor (www.vocalpowerinc.com) and teaches voice lessons to all ages. A few of her students who have already a bright career in the music industry is Sacha Edwards, and Chloe Jordache. Electra has also dedicated lots of her time in acting. She studied acting in Los Angeles and in Greece and has also been trained in improv with director Tim Simek. In fall 2007 she is starring as Genevieve in the CSUN opera production of "Suor Angelica"by, Puccini. In 2006 she performed in the CSUN opera production of "The Merry Wives of Windsor", by Nicolai. In the year of 2005-2006 Electra starred as Gretel in the CSUN Opera production of "Hansel and Gretel", by Humperdink; performed in the chorus of the CSUN Opera production of "Julius Ceaser", by Handel. The same year she performed at the Cornegie Hall in New York along with the choir group "Northridge singers", directed by Paul Smith. In the year of 1997 she performed as part of the chorus in the opera production of "Momo" in Athens, Greece and in the year of 1995 she performed as part of the chorus in the opera production of "Oresteia" in the famouse ancient theatre Epidavros, in Greece. Electra has just currently finished her demo consisted of four rock/pop songs, one of which "Blame" is an original by her piano player Kosta Lois. Her and her band have been performing all around Los Angeles and are soon to get back in the studio and realease her first record. Hi Electra, Heaven & Earth is on hiatus now as Stuart Smith and Richie Onori have joined forces with bassist Steve Priest to reform "Sweet". For those of you unfamiliar with the band, Sweet originally formed in the early 70s and went on to sell over 40,000,000 albums with 11 International Top Ten Hits such as "Ballroom Blitz", "Little Willy", "Love is Like Oxygen", "Fox on the Run", "Teenage Rampage", "Action", "Blockbuster", "Hellraiser" and many others.
This reincarnation of the band reformed last year, playing their first show in June, and went on to play festivals throughout Canada and the States and had played to over 300,000 people before the year was out. During this tour last year they recorded a live CD available on Amazon entitled "Sweet, Live in America" which has received rave reviews - pick up a copy and please Add Sweet As Your Friend On Myspace!
