| About Electric Volcano Experiment |
******************File Under: Ambient/Acid-Jazz *******************
"Reaching into the soundscapes of jazz, rock, and electronica,
Electric Volcano Experiment creates a music that resonates from
the styles of Miles Davis to Brian Eno to Black Sabbath...their music is an improvisational, cinematic journey across the rhythms and the sounds of life." -------------------------------------------Jeremy Hummel: Drums and Percussion-
Over the years, Jeremy spent time in a variety of bands ranging everywhere from blues and jazz to reggae and funk.
His biggest success came with Breaking Benjamin.
Jeremy co-founded the band in late 1999 and in addition to achieving platinum status in album sales,
Breaking Benjamin also had two 1 songs at the Active Rock Radio Format.
After spending five years with the group, Jeremy is now focusing his attention on session work with a variety of artists.
He also has a wealth of drum students in his home state of Pennsylvania. ***
Andy Seal: Basses and Synthesizers-
Andy has performed in a variety of venues with blues artists Ann Rabson and EG Kight
as well as cellist David Darling and clarinetist Perry Robinson.
Andy also performs regularly with the piano jazz trio Burgess, Mitchell and Seal. In addition to these and other bass assignments, he has also contributed original music and services
to several PBS documentaries and other independent films, most recently, the thriller/horror film All Is Normal. ***
Alex Callenberger: Guitars and Effects-
A California native, Alex moved to Pennsylvania in the fall of 2002. Where he performs with the group Infinite Bliss
and has been a part of the Uptown Music Collective as instructor and Musical Director of the staging of such
classic rock shows as The Dark Side of the Moon, Tommy, Woodstock, and The Wall.
Born with a significant hearing loss, his music and guitar style has been described as
"a dark and brooding melody from the fog of a moonless night."
