The Elements of Style perform music broadly categorized as “rock & roll.”
If you passed the Elements of Style on the street, you might smile or nod your head in polite acknowledgement. If you did not know that the Elements of Style were a band that performed rock & roll music, you might think that they were average taxpayers with jobs and girlfriends. You might imagine that the Elements of Style work in corporate offices, or teach math in high schools. You might assume that after a hard day’s work the Elements of Style return to their modest apartments to level their World of Warcarft avatars, hone their Wii tennis skills, or curl up on their couches to catch the latest episode of Smallville. You might equate the unremarkable appearance of the Elements of Style to an unremarkable character.
You might be right.
But the Elements of Style are also a rock & roll band. And in that context, the Elements of Style are not at all unremarkable.
This Sunday at North Beach in Downers Grove our 2nd annual event will begin at 5:00 Pm and features several bands, including Vertikcal, F.H.O.D Bitterson, and DJ Rheme. This event is open to all ages. $10 at the door! During the event, TBTN will be conducting a raffle with many fabulous prizes! Including a Fender Guitar + Amp, an I banez Guitar donated by Sam Ash in Lombard, and an ipod shuffle.
