Henry David Thoreau once said, “I have learned, that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” This is how we, the band members of Elliotts Run, try to live our lives. We have faith in God, our music, our talent, and each other and believe in our hearts that we are destined for greatness.
With so much negativity in the world, our music does not promote violence, sex, drugs, or other negativity that is heard in so much of music today. Our music speaks of real life issues intertwined with a good message while still rockin’ some faces off in the process.
The post-hardcore/metalcore/screamo/etc. world is filled with bands that produce the same old sound. It’s nice to see that Elliotts Run has continued in another direction, stripping their sound down to the bare nerve endings in order to deliver a gut-punching raw hardcore sound that few bands dare to sound like. It’s a tough sound, with the vocalist growling and screaming like a madman over the top of one tasty, pounding riff after another.
Who is Elliotts Run you ask? Elliotts Run comprises of Flicker Records artist Wesley Fite from Subseven, Tooth & Nail artist Dusty Mattsson, Kyle Hohlier from A Better Tomorrow, and Chris Watson from SolomonSplendor. Starting in the fall of 07, Elliotts Run came together each sharing a different style and sound of music. With combining each others natural talent, get ready to hear the strong defying vocals of Wesley, the beautiful guitar melodys of Dusty, the rattling bass lines of Kyle, and the sickest drum licks you'll ever hear from Chris.

we are in the process of a deepening depression. don't believe the stock markets, as their numbers go up the rest of the country still suffers job losses, increasing numbers of homeless and foreclosures. we are at a depression like status that of comparison to the great depression and it will get worse. in 100 days obama tripled the nations debt, there are no real party lines in politics. don't take republican over democrat or vice versa. politics today are like this: either you are with the global bankers or you are for the people. party lines are a diversion to steer the american public away from the truth.
america was on the verge of a revolution and then they put a black face on the new world order and said that if you disagree you are racist. now everyone is just sitting back watching our new puppet president play the role of savior but when you look at the script he isn't pulling his own strings. his entire cabinet is made of up wallstreet oligarcs, people who wish to take away all your money and control you. they are even trying to tax and regulate the internet because more and more people are learning the truth.
