It was good seeing you at Mount Sequoyah Unplugged.  I had a lot of fun and learned a lot.  It certainly has given me a lot to think about.  I am sure I will see you at soon at some live music event here locally.

Hi Ellis, just stopping by to say hello. Sorry I missed the wedding; wasn't sure if not campees were allowed. Anyway, had a nice visit out West with my Dad and he says he grew up in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Anywhere near you? Hope all is well, my best to Judith.

Hi Ellis,

Sorry for the tardy post - just wanted to say how great your set was at your Tupelo's feature last month. My girlfriend had to work early the next morning so we had to take off semi early and couldn't seem to find you when we were leaving. Hope everything's going good down in Arkansas... please come back up and play in NH soon!

Thanks for covering our song.  Great track.

Hey Ellis -

Your email was a very fine Letter Home!  Glad you and Judith are finding Fayetteville congenial - so much of the Southland is wonderful, nothing like the preconceived notions.  I'm sure we can find some time to play when you visit - I should be in town most of the time between June 29th and July 12th. Thanks for giving my CD to Mike Shirkey.  I'll follow up on that.  Looking forward to your return visit, hoping Judith be with you.

Best,

John

Sure will - I'll come play some songs. I'm glad you'll be out this way - miss you 'round here! And yes, I'd love to visit. When you come back you'll find me settling into my new place in Hampton Falls (almost all moved in now). . . it's a dream, my dream place.

Hey Ellis!! I actually sent you a long winded message on friday and MySpace blew up on me when I sent it. That first tune of your set on thursday was absolutely magnificent!! A Masterpiece!!! Thanks for inspiring us all especially the 5-Star Gang over the last several years.
I regret not being more a part of that amazingly supportive listening room scene! You are a gifted writer, performer and personality to boot! Keep ramping what you do up into the stratosphere!!! You've no limits! Your biggest fan from Westminster, Sincerely, Jeff

Thank you Ellis....it was an honor to be there for your 'farewell' set. You are truly blessed to have so much love around you. Also, your set was just wonderful- I especially loved the song about the afterlife...it was incredibly moving. Best wishes to you and your lovely and talented fiance, for a life filled with music, love and endless joy.
Don't be a stranger ;0)...

Peace and light, Lori

Hi Ellis:
Thanks for finding me! Loved your set last night! Who wrote the mill song? I sometimes do a "mill set" and that song would go nicely. My grandmother worked as a weaver right off the boat in Amoskeag mill. She left because of the big strike in '22.
It was a blessing in disguise.
Of course, I have a song about it. If you ever get the chance, check out "Left Side Shoulder Seam" by Dwight Phetteplace. A great mill song.
Well, best of luck in your new home and state.
