About Elmo Sexwhistle

Forming in The Midlands, 2003, Elmo Sexwhistle was originally a collaboration between cross-dressing autistic musician Alex Juno, and guitarist Matthew Atkinson. The pair met whilst on a Music Composition degree and soon started writing and recording songs in Alex’s studio.

Ben Cashmore, another Music graduate, joined the band soon after on the drums, and they started performing as a drums/guitar/keys 3 piece around Birmingham. Adge Bullimore was the final member to join, and added a very funky and melodic bass playing style to the ensemble. Live, the band became a ferocious explosion of controlled anarchy.

Elmo Sexwhistle is a blend of heavy metal riffs, NIN-like keyboard sounds, psychedelic atmospheres, random Nintendo sounds and orchestral elements; they have been likened to Faith No More, Pendulum, Paradise Lost and The Prodigy, surely a great appraisal of their song writing abilities.

The Band has just finished their stunning new record, “The Bullshit and Bravado EP” which is surely set to be one of the best unsigned releases of 2009.. Thanks rather alot, and have a beautiful day.
