This group is dedicated to the friends and fans of Shakedown, to keep them informed of news, shows and any other important info!
For almost a year now, Shakedown has been based out of Newark, Delaware, writing and performing original music and cover songs for the University of Delaware student population. Their sound is one that can be labeled psychedelic folk-rock but it also infuses jazz, blues, dance and hip-hop.
In February of 2008, Shakedown traveled to Bethesda and Rockville Maryland to record part of their self titled full-length album, which burst into flames. The rest of the CD was completed in August 2008, then burned. Since then, the band has been rehearsing, writing, and performing around DE, MD, and PA. The group has embraced musical comparisons to bands such as Wilco, the Band, and Phish, to name a few.

Both shows should be free. They include special comedy music for Christmas.
Themes include: Passing out at Christmas Dinner, Using Reindeer for Target Practice, How to Prepare Reindeer Steak for Christmas Breakfast, A London Punk Rocker's perspective on Christmas, and Giving your Girlfriend the Gift that Keeps On Giving.
We hope to see you there as we let off some steam before the holidays.
