"Champaign, Illinois' Elsinore opened the show with a pretty flawless set of power-pop and space-rock. Singer Ryan Groff has a faultless falsetto and hair-metal pipes, and he puts them to good use on his band's kinetic, catchy songs. I already had him pegged as a less-mousy Ben Gibbard, and the balls-out cover of the Postal Service's "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight" sealed the deal. Elsinore just wrapped up the recording of its next disc Yes Yes Yes, and if the dance-heavy title track is any indication, it should be stellar."

They’re friends with Champaign’s Headlights, a band that we’re proud to say performed at one of our TucsonScene SXSW Showcases in Austin this year and played a well-received show at Plush days later. Consequently, the band is evolving. With the recent release of lead singer/guitarist Ryan Groff's solo album, the future of Elsinore remains elusive. FGC will be celebrating Halloween punk-style, reprising their Green Day “costume” from last weekend’s Masquerade Ball at Three Sisters Park. Catch the band on Friday 10/30 at The Uptowner in Charleston, IL and Saturday 10/31 at the City Nights Theater in Springfield IL with The Station! Fans can expect fun renditions of a few Green Day tunes, along with a healthy dose of FGC music!
