About me:

Emily Scott has spent a half of her life surrounded by House music. At the age of 13 she started her first dance music radio station with her little brother, produced in the technically sophisticated surrounds of her bedroom, with a mic and a Boombox. When legally able to enter a club in 2001, one of Australia's biggest House venues hired her as a lighting technician. Em has always always had a sixth sense for what the dance floor needs even before they know it and has an innate sense of when to build tension and when to hold it. With these skills she made a natural progression into Djing with a preference for underground house; "I love the energy of House and Tribal, their effect on the dance floor, uncontrollable, an hypnotic need to dance". Her entrance into the world of music production was made easy due to years spent at work with CAD and animation software 3DMax while she completed a Bachelor of Industrial design. An award for highest acclaimed design portfolio of that year was recognition of her natural born creativity and technical prowess. These background skills have enabled Emily to adapt to the ever evolving opportunities of modern DJing and production, "I enjoy using the latest technology as it means I have a much wider spectrum for creativity" she states. "I can sample, layer and loop faster than ever before which means new sounds and a more energetic performance from me at my live shows and new ideas in the studio". Performance is something Emily Scott is accustomed to. Her career as a model sky rocketed her onto UK TV, while the many glamourous magazine covers led her to a spot on US hit 'Entourage' and Australia's Dancing With The Stars. Due to her popularity and international appeal she has been voted Australia's Sexiest woman, 9th Sexiest (UK) and 44th Sexiest woman in the world (USA). Emily clearly performs well in front in front of a camera, this is why her name and image attracts a staggering 250'000 hits per month, but it is in-front of a crowd, behind the decks where both her performance and musical talents shine. Em's presence on-stage and cutting edge music selection makes her one of Australia's most in demand DJs. She has a dance compilation 'Clublife" for Central Station under her belt, which was followed by a sell out nation-wide tour and secured her a slot as support DJ for Erick Morillo and Pacha NYE 09. She regularly guest mixes for NovaNation and headlines the best clubs in Australia and Asia including, Chinese Laundry Sydney, Heaven Korea, Attica Singapore and Bed Thailand and it is this success that caught the attention of Pioneer who signed her as a ProDJ in 2009, leading her to join the crème of Australian DJ talent as well as international Ambassadors Roger Sanchez, Sander Kleinenberg and Armin van Buuren. A week in the life of Em involves touring the hot spots and daily studio sessions to work on original ES tracks. Her much awaited first release 'Cortado' was snapped up by Neon Underground and is a deep, percussive monster. "I am extremely excited about Cortado, I am proud of what I have achieved with this single and I look forward to releasing many more in the future".
