Empire Auriga's gaze is set upon the abjection of post-apocalyptic landscapes, seething with shapeless malignance, and obscured by vapours of misanthropy. Preceded by ageless enmity, extinguishing any hope, and inviting deterioration into every cell, the overwhelming glut of desolation seeks to absorb the reverie and render it impotent.

REVIEWS :

Debut release from American post-apocalyptic visionaries EMPIRE AURIGA! The music is described as mixtures of early Industrial, Black Metal, Shoegazer, Military Fanfare, and trance-guitar. Later BURZUM, and NORTT with industrial roughness and originality. Expansion, contemplation, destruction, regeneration. Auriga Dying is an epic tale, timeless vision and a superb recording.
-Todestrieb Records

"Desolate cities bleeding a war-torn atmosphere of cold reality set against the back-drop of a steady militant rhythm for which to mutilate yourself or contemplate existence as a whole; this is EMPIRE AURIGA."
- The Metal Observer

"A virtual soundtrack for a dying planet. Post modern in execution and apocalyptic in vision and truly unique as a result, this cd is an anguish filled sonata for a dying world and should not be taken lightly. As unique as it is original. Essential.."
- Reaver Magazine

"Disturbing. That's the one word which sums up this band/project. Empire Auriga is a black/ambient band of sorts with a fucking dark (just saying "dark" doesn't do it justice... it has to be "fucking dark") and militant sound. If nihilism had a soundtrack, this would be it."
- Metal Nightmare

LUNAR HYPNOSIS REVIEW 8/10
When I received this promo CD I thought immediately this would be another raw, hateful satanic black metal effort. The CD is black, the cover is apparently a picture of some constellation (on black background of course...), and the CD inlay has white lettering on black bacground. We have seen this before many many times, right?

Well, this is not really about black metal after all. The music on this CD is to me more of industrial metal (if you want to call it metal) mixed with some space ambient passages that together encompass soundscapes that I would not consider background music at all.

The CD starts off with what it sounds like a bomb warning siren which is taken over by a funeral march-like drum, guitar and keyboards sequence. There is a voice that sounds like someone is ordering a group of people to slowly walk through desolated and destroyed streets to an unknown destination. This effect made me think immediately of a scene in the the movie Schindler's List.

After the first and fatal blow, the onslaught continues with more of the droned guitars, but by the fifth track it has evolved into music that has more of a space station atmosphere to it. It reminds me of sitting in some sort of station waiting for a transport to take people off to another place in space. This view however is one from behind a window where all you can hear is the distant noise of what a crowded place would sound like. You are always aware of what is going on, but people seem to be moving without an apparent direction, they are just there and while everything seems to be happening right in front of your eyes, there is no concept of time. I know this sounds like an acid trip, but you will have to hear the music and form your own opinion.

This music is definitely involving in nature, and thus will call for your attention. Otherwise it could be easily construed as simply noise or what people normally refer to as ambient, but I would rather leave the ambient definition to other styles of music such as Brian Eno's efforts in the 70s with music for airports and stuff like that. This is definitely not melodic in nature, but rather a bit disturbing because in the context of the background qualities the music has, it still gets you involved in it.

To sum it up, if you played this as PA music in your local mall, people will likely start looking at each other instead of simply walking by with music accompaning their shopping experience.

I have uploaded two new vile tracks from "Cult of Blood": "Our Shining Plague" and "Cruel but Just." "Our Shining Plague" is a meditative deep ballad. "Cruel but Just" is the most ferocious track on the album. Enjoy my friend-JudgeH

humanity is a relatively new species in the course of existence, that does not know; where it came from, why it exists, the meaning of its existence, its true essence, and what occurs to this essence of “life” beyond its death. Our entire existence, "exists" on a planet that is part of a solar system, that’s part of a galaxy, which is part of a universe within a cosmos. This cosmos is vast and endless, with more planets than every grain of sand combined on all of earth’s beaches. Our world is like a drop of water in an endless, vast, ever-flowing ocean. And man the so called “measurement of all things” with its so called kings, queens, and profits... we are just a microscopic speck, on this drop of water… evaporating into space
