enBlanco se funda en Logroño en el año 2002, pero no es hasta el año 2005
cuando ajusta su formación con un cambio de guitarrista, en la actualidad
el grupo está formado por: Gorka Etxebarria y de Miguel González a la las
guitarras, Héctor Indurain a la batería, Diego Cabezón al bajo y su hermano
Enrique (Kb) a la voz. Todos músicos procedentes de bandas importantes
del underground riojano como: Perseverance, Adneyel, Sinergia, Gas
Ciudad, Kaskore Band o Más Malos. El único que no tiene experiencias
musicales anteriores es Kb, aunque su presencia es constante desde los
años noventa en la vida cultural riojana y un poquito más allá: diseñador y
portadista de discos, dibujante de historieta, poeta, editor de fanzines,
columnista de opinión…
Sin duda, enBlanco están llamados a ocupar un espacio preferente en el
mundo del rock patrio, ya lo ocupan en la escena de su tierra,
musicalmente se mueven a medio camino del llamado "numetal" y el rock
urbano de toda la vida, pero las letras de sus canciones, poéticas y
sorprendentes, y los arreglos de sus canciones son una agradable sorpresa
que hace que sus canciones resulten siempre frescas y sorprendentes. Una
vuelta de tuerca personal e interesante que no dejará indiferente a nadie.
Brief history:
EnBlanco was born in 2002, but the current members share the stage since 2005. At present the band consists of two guitarist -Gorka Etxebarria and Miguel González-, the drummer Héctor Indurain, the bassman Diego Cabezón and his brother and singer Enrique (KB). All of them come from some important bands of the underground riojan music: Perseverance, Adneyel, Sinergia, Gas Ciudad, Kaskore band or Más malos, among others. Only Enrique has not previous musical experience, but his presence is constant since the 90..s in other cultural activities just as cover designer, cartoonist, poet, fanzine publisher, columnist…
Without a doubt, enLbanco are called to fill a preferent place in the Spanish rock. In fact, they fill it in the riojan music. They move halfway between numetal and the urban rock for ages, but the poetic and surprising lyrics of their songs and arrangements make of their music something always fresh and amazing. Nobody will remain indifferent with this bet for their personal way of understanding the music.
