THE FANS ANTHEM
The brainchild of 'JNR' Rodgers, ENG-er-LAND (Sing Along With Me) is the result of 18 months of blood, sweat and tears.
The late entrant has been rewritten by James' lead singer Tim Booth to provide England Fans with an anthem and show the nations support to the team prior and during the 2006 campaign
The idea kicked off when Simon Lewis from the Gate Films, a close friend of 'JNR' suggested the England Band played the song at the recent friendly between England and Uruguay. Backed by the 15 strong band the crowd took the classic to their hearts and gave it their full support every time it was played.
inspired by its success and in order to provide the nation with an easy to sing anthem throughout the World Cup, the Band worked with Producer's 'JNR' / Pete Ibsen and Tim Booth to rework the classic and came up with a tune for the terraces that could be sung for the team. . The track was Executive Produced by Rick Blaskey at Santuary Music and Media Partnership. Rick was responsible for the likes of 3 Lions, Swing Low and many other music and sport related campaigns.
