Englebarn is an all Norwegian act, founded in Northern Norway in the early 90's. The founding members started playing together in middle school, and doing shows on the local scene.
The first taste of success came in 1995 when the band won the annual 'Rock mot Rus' (Rock against Drugs) festival at Andenes, Norway. The following year the first CD single was released, featuring the title track 'Englebarn'.
Over the next few years the band played many shows around Norway, filling the void of bands like "Seigmen" and "DumDumBoys".
In 2001 the first full length album was released, titled "Siste Sangen" (The last song). The album reaped raving reviews in Norwegian press, and the band toured up and down the country a few times. The guys started working on the second album, now with a label and management support.
Then, in 2004 the project came to a halt when a couple of the guys left for the U.S to pursue a record deal in the states with a different band. Since then Englebarn has been on 'hold', although most of the guys are once again back in their home town of Tromsø, Norway.
Englebarn can still be seen occasionally on various local scenes from time to time, and every now and then all 5 original members come together to put on shows or play around in the studio.
