Think of what would happen if They Might Be Giants invited Ben Folds to be their front man, and you have a pretty good idea of what the Enormous Magic Verb is all about. Singer John Speed’s steady vocal delivery and crafty piano playing are the perfect canvas on which the rest of the band paints. The core of the band is made up of piano (Speed), bass (Darin Prejean), and drums (Chad Siewert). Although on any given night you might see them playing with either a full string section, horn section, guitars, vintage synths, vocoders, and even a lap top or two.
Since 2005 these guys have been churning out catchy, quirky pop tunes, and expanding their live show around the metroplex. The band’s early days featured long free form jams, but have since turned into a tight, and energetic pop group. Lush harmonies, clever lyrics, and tight playing make this band fun to see live.
The band released a self title E.P. in 2007, a concept album titled "Makellosburg" in 2008 on Mile Long and Valley Low Records, and is currently adding music to a film project headed up by drummer Chad Siewert.

Wondering what everyone else thinks about the bulletin? So glad you summarized with the moral because as I was entertained and laughing with all the details.....I would have missed that point. I ride the short bus on things like that.
Maybe you guys can join us for the fun for the show on the 14th. It would have been great to see THE ENORMOUS MAGIC VERB on here too! I promise to buy you all a drink if you can make it.
