  • Bio

Singing piano player Eric Ranzoni is a full-time musician. He's both British and Italian, being born in London in 1969 from Italian parents but having spent the majority of his life between Rome and Milan. Since coming back to London in 2003, he's gained a reputation as a skilled and versatile pianist, "equipped" with a warm singing voice. Solo or accompanied by excellent musicians, he's played the Blues (and Roots music in general) in many top venues in London and about, with frequent stints abroad. In great demand as Blues pianist with several London-based bands, he's recentlyplayed with Mud Morganfield, the eldest son of Muddy Waters, along with UK stars Big Joe Louis and West Weston and he's also currently performing with guitar ace Otis Grand in the UK and across Europe. Under his name Eric performs either as a 4-piece band (with guitar, bass and drums) or with two kinds of trio (one with harmonica and guitar and another with drums and guitar). Beside Blues gigs Eric also plays "piano bar" ones by himself with a mixed bag of songs and styles, blending evergreens with more unusual hits, but strictly without backing tracks! A member of the UK Musicians Union, he also writes songs from time to time. eric_ranzoni@hotmail.com
