About me:
I'm just a guy with a big ball and good intentions. I walk it around (and around, and around) to honor my Mom, Ky. State Representative Gerta Bendl, who I lost to Diabetes in 1987.
On July 15th, 2007, I walked with the world and my dog from Louisville,Ky to Pittsburg, Pa .I raised a little money for the American Diabetes Association.I did alot of promoting awareness of diabetes and had many come up and tell me they were going to get a check up.That was worth more to me than the small amount of donations I recieved. But, (here it comes) good will and good intentions are really not enough these days.So I need to take some time to plan another walk.This time I will do it differently.
I know how to get attention By walking on the side of the road and talking to people about taking care of themselves so they can live along life. For themselves and their loved ones.By getting interviewed by television, radio, and newspapers. But I need help to to know the ins and outs of raising funds for this cause. So if you can help me, please do so. I want to do that well too.
