I djay since dec 1978. Specialised people, books, mags, djs, journalists say im one of top french house and electro music pioneer - Let’s say i was at the right spot the right time. I’ve basically followed my instinct and was always very confident in my musical tastes.
I produce records, remixes & compilations for various labels under diverse monikers such as Daphreephunkateerz - Dirty Jesus - Tommy Lobo - Waxworks - Low Tone Priority - 2frenchmen - The Dreadless Soldier - The Spliffheadz - The Plastics or...Erik Rug.
I like to open my ears and i have very ecclectic tastes in music, same with litterature or movies...i love design, photo, architecture, sociology...
I’m into healthy food, gave up with chemicals, booze, cigs and only smoke natural... I m a huge soccer fan. Paris St Germain is my team for the good and more oftenly for the worst - cant watch them play much as I got rid of my colour tv. This, beeing part of my brain reconstruction process.
I’ve launched a nu record label " Les Disques du Telegraphe " - march 2006 and i still press vinyl ! My music is also available on digital music stores..Itunes, Fnac, Beatport etc..
I run a parisian weekly mix - "Waxgroove" ( black music orientated), on a mainstream dance music station called Radio FG - sunday night 00-01 am french time - www.radiofg.com - I’m playing old & nu school soul- funk- jazz- hop- dub- afro- boogie and the rarest underground cutz that would normally NEVER fit on FGs playlist. I throw my beats to thousands of teenagers who would generally go for mainstream house and r’n’b. I get great response from listeners and this is so emulating.
I also promote the "Waxgroove Party" at Nouveau Casino/ Paris.
The party now exists for 9 years and is still evergrowing every time...
In my teenage years i was a punk and rock’n’roll music is a territory i’ve never stopped to explore...i also promote the OINK! party at Nouveau Casino with guest live bands - i can express there my darker side by playing obscur 80’s post-punk records with current electro & rock productions.
WARNING: to read the whole bio - can be exhaustive...not that i am pretentious but getting older every year is a process i cant stop - jump to my blog section...
Peace.
