Kraftvolle Beats und eine treibende Akustik-Gitarre umspielen den charismatischen Gesang von Thomas und seinen englischen Texten, in denen die Einflüsse des Singer/Songwriter-Genres zu hören sind. Die Escimos sind 3 Freunde aus verschiedenen Gegenden Deutschlands, die sich in einer Metropole getroffen haben und versuchen, Musik auf ihr Wesen zu reduzieren – unverkrampft, nicht perfekt, mit viel Spaß und Leidenschaft: Sie haben das bescheidene Scheitern zur Kunstform erhoben. Thomas singt und spielt Akustik-Gitarre, Oda spielt Bass und Martin die Drums.
In Ihren Songs spielen neue Perspektiven eine große Rolle. Hierbei geht es immer um die alltäglichen Dinge im Leben, wie Liebe, Abschied, Freundschaft, Eitelkeiten und Sehnsüchte.
Die Band hat sich quer durch die Republik gespielt, eine EP veröffentlicht und ein Video zu ihrer Single „Attract Me” gedreht.
Attract Me!
Powerful beats and an up-tempo acoustic-guitar accompany the charismatic vocals of Thomas, in which you can hear influences of British and American singer/songwriters. The Escimos are the result of 3 people meeting one another in a concrete jungle, trying to cut music down to its essence - laid-back, sexy, not perfect but with a lot of passion. Thomas is the singer and plays the acoustic-guitar, Oda plays the bass-guitar and Martin the drums.
New perspectives play a major role in their songs. They always deal with the most common things of life, such as love farewell, friendship, Vanity fair and its longings.
The band played gigs up and down the country, released an EP and shot a video for their single "Attract Me" in autumn 2006.
