| Sounds Like | Especially Likely Sloth was formed in 1995 by Jason Walton, now known for his work in Agalloch and Sculptured. Founded on and inspired by the principals set forth by bands such as Mr. Bungle, Fossil Fuel, and The Ramones, ELS stumbled through a decade of demos misunderstood by the masses, yet ELS managed to gain a rabid and cult fan base regardless.
Now in 2008, ELS has shifted gears, and changed focus. Building on the band's initial mythology and finding inspiration elsewhere, ELS has become a new beast. More confounding, more abstract and riddled with musical pranks, yet retaining what ELS was founded on; striving for something different, engaging and challenging. This is why after 13 years, ELS needed to adopt a new face, to evolve, for sitting still is the surest way to stagnate and die.
The slate has been wiped clean, and now ELS is in full gear writing the new album for release on Vendlus Records. Hail Sloth!
