Evolucid is the cohesion of experience, music, and reality. Its sound was born from playing music in different scenes, surroundings, and having such a wide variety of influences to draw from. The band uses these styles to deliver a powerful message. Their diversity is a key formula.
The roots of this project have held long and strong. In 2004 one of the members was deployed to Iraq for a year and a half with the Louisiana National Guard. Almost exactly that amount of time later their house was destroyed in hurricane Katrina while living in New Orleans. After another year spent scattered around the country, they were able to regroup in Long Beach, California. This is a group of individuals from seperate life experiences and philosophies manifested into various soundwaves.
Evolucid has been touring the northwest, westcoast and south since 2007. Since, the band has decided to convert their bus to bio-diesel and is currently on tour in support of their debut album entitled "Kundalini". The album can be downloaded on I-Tunes and Digstation. You can also buy a copy from CD BABY. Be sure to check out this eclectic blend of jazz, rock, philosophy, and hip hop in a town near you!!
