About me:
Exonerated PR is a leader in the developing industry of Social Media Marketing and online marketing. Exonerated PR was started by Calley Nye in 2005. She has been marketing bands and companies on social networks for over three years. She has worked for major brands, bands, composers, websites, and artists. She has had pages with friends upwards of 100,000. Her specialty is to take companies and bands away from traditional marketing tactics, and providing value to fans, and keeping them engaged through social networks. Basically getting fans to feel on the same level as the band or company.
What is Social Media Marketing?
Social Media Marketing utilizes social networking sites such as Myspace, Facebook, and Youtube to market your band or brand. The process generally consists of making a page for you on all appropriate sites, and marketing each one to the appropriate audience. Social Media Marketing has several distinct and unique advantages:
1) Precise demographic accessibility: Locating and marketing directly to your core demographic becomes more efficient. Trying to find 21-26 year old Coldplay fans from Minnesota? Not a problem.
2) Peer reviews: Studies prove people are highly affected by peers' opinion. People, especially young adults (the largest and most active demographic on social networks), are more influenced by peers than media hype. Therefore, when they see a band or product with a lot of friends and comments, they are more likely to purchase music and/or merchandise.
3) Active marketing: TV, radio, web and print advertising is inactive or passive marketing. They are passive because when someone watches television or reads a magazine, and they come to an ad there is no active engagement or interaction. Using Social Media Marketing allows you to keep your audience engrossed while we market you or your brand.
4) Multi-platform integration (cross marketing): the web allows us take a very integrated approach to your campaign. Myspace, Facebook and Youtube, can all be interconnected. i.e. We can market your Youtube videos on Facebook and Myspace, upping your views so your videos get big enough to help market your Myspace.
We can also increase the success of any other endeavors you may be involved in, online or offline.
Let me demonstrate how these advantages can work for you.
Tour Marketing - By easily locating and marketing to people by numerous criterions we can quickly and effectively market to potential fans at each of your bands tour stops. If you are stopping in Seattle, San Francisco, Phoenix and Des Moines, we can market to fans of similar artists, narrowed down by each location. We diligently follow up these new fans with tour schedules and bulletins, in a timely matter.
Soundscan Research - Similar to tour marketing, but aimed to help sales based on location. If you want to improve the way you research with labels on Soundscan, we can take the markets where you are getting radio airplay, and market to fans of other bands in rotation on that station, in that area. Ideally, increasing sales in those regions, thereby improving your numbers in the markets you have targeted.
Social Media Optimization - While SEO (search engine optimization) is a very important part of any campaign, it sometimes can be a little complicated when dealing with web and SEO guys. They base all of their methods on coding your website a certain way, and trying to move your ONE website to the top of the search engine results. SMO is generally the same principle, with a little bit different (and easier) method. When you search for your name or band name, what comes up? I think it's easiest to demonstrate. Google Tim Myers, my newest client. When I started his myspace page or website wasn't showing up. Not just on the first page, but the next couple pages as well. In about 3 weeks, as you will see, his myspace page is the #2 search result, and his facebook page is #11, with other sites with his name scattered around the first 3 pages. Now, Google The Kin. This is a band I've been working with for awhile. As you can see their website is #1, myspace #2, video channel #3, with two of their videos in #5 and #6. This is what should happen when you search for your band.
What will XPR do for you?
We will first, help design a new Myspace page for you or your company. Or if you already have one, we will make suggestions for improvement, if necessary.
Then, we will work with you to figure out your core demographic, and the best way to access them. This is where we will decide what social networks we would like to have you on. Everyone has the opportunity to do something totally unique, and we want to help you find that way.
Finally, for as long as we decide upon, XPR will market your page to your desired demographic. We have had many successful campaigns, both long- and short-term. We understand that everyone has different needs, and we try to be as accommodating to those needs as possible.
