So many people ask, "Where do you get your sound?" or "Who do you sound like?"
Well, the answer is not that simple. If you want to approximate the sonic qualities of The Exotic Ones, simply follow this recipe for Tasty Tunes:
1 part Gene Vincent 50's Rockabilly-- well aged
2 parts Link Wray guitar sound-- shaken, not stirred
1 part Ventures/Chantays surf music-- longboard optional
1 part mid-60's swamp psychedelia-- ala Electric Prunes/CCR
2 parts Ramones riffs-- with a dash of punk attitude
1 part 60's Aurora classic monster model kit-- Frankenstein or the Creature works best
season liberally with hot rods, Roger Corman B-flicks, and a Captain Midnite decoder ring
Mix together in a white knee-high go-go boot, spread mixture evenly over a Ouija board
Bake at 4000 degrees F. using atomic fusion technology left over from the Cold War-- don't forget to Duck & Cover!
Dump it all on the completely unsuspecting audience and PRAY that they have a clue!
