Sounds Like
tangents caught in the middle of a sandstorm. MC5 hanging out with No Means No trying to cheer up Joy Division and get ripped with Sonic Youth while travelling on a public transit bus running on vegetable oil.
born out of artists feeling trapped and unable to fully secure a full-blown protest movement on issues such as the environment, civil rights, globalization, and economic inequality. Extinct Animals is a collaborative effort between Eric Oliver, Todd Price, and Luke Helms. The songs all revolve around important issues regarding the world today. Its Freedom not Free-dumb. Extinct Animals will never write a song about a girl, material wealth, self-loathing, introspection (unless it involves the world as a whole) or being happy (i.e. Don't Worry, be Happy). Infact, we won't be happy until the United States drastically changes its mindset on foreign policy, war, the two-party system (although Barack obama talks a good game, and Ron Paul is giving it a run for its money!) Extinct Animals concept is simple. Music is not for prancing around never having shit to say. This is our outlet to attempt to spark change in the minds of Americans.
Musically, it covers a broad range of indie, noise, psychedelic, garage and post-punk.

Many thanks for the add. Hope you enjoy the music and message behind it. My mission in life is to fight Human Trafficking. understanding the individual pain of others is sometimes to painful for an other individual to touch and that is frightening ... what i mean is that someone whose life is not traumatized and brutalized as a regular sequence of every day events unconsciously seeks the camouflage and shelter of apathy and banality from the reality of such devastating anguish and terror ...
but the spirit of young people who are used as sex slaves in the systematized global industry of human trafficking is now reaching out to the human fellowship in hope and desperation and through technology ...
it is scary when humanity turns a blind eye to this horror ... its like ignoring genocide whilst it is happening ...
what i am asking is that if you hear the cry of these young people who are existing in an environment of torture and brutality each and every day that you then please do not turn away from them ...
please reach deeply into your heart and soul and please in 2009 join a movement or become a part of an event that challenges modern slavery in the 21st century ... colin
Alright...Now that we're friends and shit I just gotta say, 'WHOLE HOG's got yer back.' When someone at the store says, 'Nah, you go ahead of me'...it was probably due to this friendship. You go to tip the hot barmaid and she hands you back your dollar with a folded piece of paper with her number and a note that says, 'call me...please.', yep, probably due to this friendship also. basically expect good shit to happen to you from here on out. WHOLE HOG friendship has it's benefits.
