On a cold dark night in a small shitty redneck town in late 2004, 2 bands met on the same stage. A thrash punk band known as "The Wack Dust", and a melodic metal band from Tampa called "Ending the Silence". When the drummer of TWD (Alex Spine) And the guitar/vocalist of ETS (Jeremy Jones) decided to jam together while warming up for the show, they realized a connection. And on that night was the birth of a something soon to be unleashed upon the world.
Shortly after that Alex and Jeremy teamed up to create Fall to Prey. When they had realized that their influences were almost the same and there idea of a great epic European style death metal band could happen, the darkness began. They eventually recruited a friend to do vocals (Sean Crandall) and found Derek Kustes for another guitar. Jeremy's brother Shawn McKluskey would be one of the many bass players FTP would go through. FTP would go through a couple line ups. The current members are Jeremy Jones on Guitar and vocals, Alex Spine- on Drums and vocals, Mikey B. on Bass, and Jay Morton on Guitar. After their first gig, the band continued to get booked for more and more shows ranging from cites all over Florida. In late 2006 FTP went into the studio to record there self titled E.P. Shortly after the C.D. release singer Sean had quit to join the army. With no singer it was hard for the band to play shows, so the shows stopped, and What was left of FTP went into the zone.
Lead guitarist Jeremy and Drummer Alex decided to take over the roll of vocals. D-Rock went on to start a project with death metal band The Burning Sensation. Jay Morton took over the roll as the new guitar player. Former bass player Mikey-B recently re joined the band to complete their current member line up. Though they took a year off to write the new music, their fans kept them alive. Without the true metal fans FTP could not exist. Since the new songs FTP has been playing shows and are currently at Death 'N' Decay/DOW studios recording their next full length album entitled "Blood and Darkness." The C.D. is to be released in the fall of 2009, and a few new songs will be posted on the Myspace soon.
