Far Black Furlong make experimental, ambient music that also draws on Folk, Drones, Classical and Electronica. Their music is based on live improvisation that is often later edited and treated, and otherwise mangled.
FBF comprise of baroque oboist Mark Baigent, Andrew Cotterill and Ian Tengwall. Original member Richard Moult has now gone on to other things. Other musicians to appear on our recordings: multi-instrumentalist Anne Marie Summers, dulcimer player John Letcher, the flautist Amanda Votta (of the group The Floating World) and poet Bryony Lees.
