Na'im and Frank are also the team behind the internationally loved Uncle Frank show.
Where Frank's immense baritone voice takes center stage.
These wildly different projects serve as alter egos for the Make It Nice Brothers who are without a doubt music workaholics.
For the last 7 years Frank has been one thrid of the Fun Lovin' Criminals (joining frontman Huey Morgan and multi-instrumentalist Fast) who have made more than several gold/platinum selling albums and tracks worldwide, Frank also sings for the funk/soul band Cantaloop and together with Fast (FLC) forms the reggae infused Radio Riddler with dub remixes for Lilly Allen, Rootz Manuva and many more.
Na'im who has worked for FLC for several years in various guises also tours with Manchester's legendary Happy Mondays. He also is one half of Rowshan a very mystical music project.
Na'im has joined Radio Riddler for their latest project which will be unveiled this year (2009).
You can sample all these acts for yourself by looking into the top friends of Fatal Star. The Make it Nice brothers are fast gaining a reputation as heavy weight players in the studio being able to peform, arrange and produce almost everything you are listening to here.
Fatal Star are Na'im Cortazzi and Frank Benbini who produce as
The Make It Nice Brothers. They have been described by
Radio 1 as:
"Two of the countries most prolific, endearing and talented artists".
Fatal star are not short of spirit in their music, from the Radio 6 heralded "Wild Seed" the first EP (2007) to the Radio 1
featured "Gravy Baby" ep of 2008.
In 2005/6 Fatal Star made an almost forgotten 1st album
called "Prayers for Protection" of which only 50 copies
were ever made.
You can finally hear cuts from this lost album on the music player.
Ranging from out and out love songs to space funk street jams each Fatal Star release sees them move up to greater heights of "Gypsy RnB" smoothed over by the unique and soulfull voice of Na'im.
2010 will see the release of "The Warrior" their first long player, which Rhythm Man Frank describes as "Knightrider meets Funkadelic and Africa Bambata."
Fatal Star have also made several music videos to date, which you can also watch on the fatal star tv player on this page.
