"Formed in 2006, F-BATS (previously ‘Frank Butcher And The Slags’) are an eight-man shirtless and sweaty riot soundtrack of punk-rock and ska from North London. F-BATS have racked up over 150 self-booked shows including a week spent in August 2007 touring the UK, shows in Belgium, Holland and Czech Republic (CZ festival date with Cali's Mad Caddies, The Toasters, Real McKenzies) and slots all around London including at The Underworld with Voodoo Glow Skulls.
Throwing salsa and hardcore punk influences into the mix thanks to their talented four-piece horn section, F-BATS set themselves apart from both the ska/punk stereotype and the 3-chord punk cliché.
Despite not having recorded an official release, tracks from the band's 2008 demo have been aired on student radio stations and regional stations alike, debuting most notably on XFM's punk show, 'X-Punk', on a playlist alongside acts such as Against Me!, Less Than Jake and Fucked Up on Saturday the 11th October's show.
