I’m a singer / songwriter from Cologne, Germany. I’m an unsigned artist, and here are some of my new songs... currently working on a new album!!
I actually have wanted to have my 5th album released in 2000. (LOL)
So this is Felix Penk, these are already 4 of my new songs.
There are also tons of other, unrecorded songs, and they are waiting in the drawer for my future albums, and for whoever! :)

Felix Penk - the artist
I am mostly a songwriter. But yeah, I am also singing. The stuff I do is synth pop from the kitsch side of the world, pink swans and mirror balls for your ears! But since I began playing the piano when I was 5, piano sounds mean a lot for me and my music. You will hear that on most of my tracks.
I am not gonna hide it, and often it's quite obvious: My main influences are Per Gessle from Roxette and the Eurovision Song Contest.
My music is like a good movie, say... Fried Green Tomatoes. This movie is about life, my music is about life as well - in all facettes. Joy is living right next to sadness, fear, laughter, melancholy, fun, pain, happiness.
My music is happy, weird, romantic, sad, irritating, straight forward. One thing I wanna make clear though: Melody is master, lyrics is slave. Means, I’m having the melody in my head, and try to find the words fitting to the notes, and in the end I bind it to a web of words – the lyrics of a song.
Now enough talk about my art, so what are my plans?
First of all, and most important, I want to reach people who like my songs, who are interested in getting to know more of my stuff. That’s what being an artist is about.
Myspace helps. I want to record my material, so rightnow I am working on new songs for my upcoming album (out in early 2009).
When my album is done, I’ll see what happens :)

Well, I have hundreds of songs and ideas waiting in my drawer to be recorded. Felix Penk as an artist can’t and doesn’t want to do all them, but Felix Penk as a songwriter does. This means:

I am writing songs in different styles and languages. It can be synth pop, many songs and ideas would fit very well to guitar pop or rock. Anything between Bon Jovi and Coldplay, Madonna and Roxette. Some songs are more mainstream, others can be quite different.
Most of my songs are in english, a few ones in german and swedish. A handful of instrumental songs. I’d also like to write music for soundtracks, so if you as a movie producer look for someone like me – feel free to contact me as well.
