Fernando Pareta es guitarrista y cantante. Comenzó su proyecto solista en 1999, formando su banda Fernando Pareta Trío, integrada por su padre en el bajo, Oscar Horacio Pareta, quien lo sigue acompañando. Su primer disco Fernando Pareta Trío, fue editado en 2003 y participó de los compilados internacionales The loner-Tribute to Jeff Beck y Get Jazzed del sello alemán ESC Records. Además, es invitado desde 2004 al festival a beneficio Jemfest en Estados Unidos, organizado por el famoso guitarrista Steve Vai.
Nació el 16 de Octubre de 1979 en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Creció en contacto directo con la música, escuchando acordes de tango provenientes del bandoneón de su abuelo Oscar, el que además le narraba historias de sus viajes por el mundo integrando grandes orquestas, y participando en importantes espectáculos como "Tango Argentino".
Con 9 años de edad comenzó sus estudios de guitarra en el conservatorio de Walter Malossetti, tomando clases años después con Jorge García, Ariel Pozzo, Pino Marrone, Sid Jacobs y Carl Verheyen.
Desde 1999 Fernando Pareta Trío se presentó en gran cantidad de pubs y locales nocturnos de Argentina como La Trastienda, Notorious, el Hard Rock Café, Oliverio, La Caverna, entre muchos otros. Además realizó varias entrevistas y presentaciones en vivo en programas de radio y televisión.
En 2003 se editó el primer CD homónimo a la banda, compuesto con temas instrumentales propios y covers en la línea del rock, el blues y el funk. La calidad del material quedó demostrada cuando fue invitado un año después al Jemfest en Florida, Estados Unidos, organizado por la fundación Make a noise foundation de Steve Vai, compartiendo escenario con artistas como Rob Balducci, Eric Sands, Mike Martín, German Schauss, entre otros. Fernando Pareta fue invitado anualmente al evento repitiendo sus presentaciones del 2005 al 2008, donde tuvo el honor de cerrar el festival como banda principal.
En el 2005, la compañía discográfica alemana ESC RECORDS incluyó la versión de Brush with the blues, en el compilado The loner-Tribute to Jeff Beck compartiendo el trabajo con destacados artistas como Scott Henderson, Greg Howe, Richie Kotzen, Steve Lukather, Brett Garsed, John Novello, David Fiuczynski, Billy Sheehan, Gary Willis, Kirk Covington, Dennis Chamber, Vinnie Colaiuta, Virgil Donati y Derek Sherinian.
La misma versión integró el CD Get Jazzed de la misma compañía, junto a Randy y Michael Brecker, David Sanborn, Lincoln Goines, Scott Henderson, Simon Phillips, John Humprey, John Scofield, Armand Sabal-Lecco, Frank Gambale, Billy Cobham, Michael Landau, Vinnie Colaiuta, Marcus Miller, John Patitucci y otros.
Ambos compilados fueron editados en gran cantidad de países y obtuvieron excelentes críticas de la prensa internacional.
Fernando Pareta es endorser de empresas de renombre internacional como Suhr guitars, Xotic Effects, THD electronics, Cables Evidence, T-rex, Cmatmods effects y tremol-no entre otras.
En la actualidad Fernando Pareta alterna la grabación de su segundo disco próximo a editarse en 2009, en el que participa Jota Morelli en la batería, con su actividad docente y sus presentaciones con el trío.
