Biografía
Fflur Dafydd is a short singer songwriter who often needs to be put on a box to reach the microphone. Despite her shortcomings, she has managed to become a prominent Welsh singer songwriter, who has performed in Ireland, Belgium, Croatia, Finland and the United States. She has released three albums, "Coch am Weddill fy Oes." (Red for the rest of my days.) Un Ffordd Mas (One Way Out) and Byd Bach (It's a Small World.) She was recently named the Female Artist of the Year at the Welsh Music Awards 2010. .... Although some dispute this, she is in fact the same Fflur Dafydd who writes fiction, although they have been known to appear in separate venues at the same time. Her third novel - Twenty Thousand Saints - won the inaugural Oxfam Hay Emerging Writer of the Year Award 2009 and is published by ..Alcemi Press.. . Rhyddhaodd yr albwm "Coch am Weddill fy Oes" ar label Kissan, ac mae hi wedi rhyddhau dwy albwm gyda label Rasal, Un Ffordd Mas a Byd Bach. Mae hi wedi perfformio mewn gwyliau yn yr Iseldiroedd, UDA, Iwerddon, Croatia a'r Ffindir. Enillodd wobr Artist Benywaidd y Flwyddyn yng Ngwobrau Roc a Pop Radio Cymru 2010. .... Teifi Roc 900 and Cardigan 2010 are holding some FREE exciting youth music training workshops on Saturday the 9th of October at Cardigan Guild Hall.
The event is funded by the Arts Council of Wales and there will be four workshops which will include vocal training by Molara Awen, instrumental & drumming training by Nik Turner, electric guitar training by Jason Phillips and technical lights & sound training by 24 Carrot Promotions.
The workshops will commence at 2pm promptly. Anyone wanting to be involved will need to register by contacting Bill Davies of Celtic Blue Rock on 01236 831876.
Following the afternoon workshops there will be an evening Teifi Roc Gig at the Guild Hall in Cardigan with local bands and artists performing along with the young people who attended the workshops earlier in the day. Those who attended the technical and lighting workshop will also have some hands on experience of coordinating the evening stage management.
The evening Teifi Roc 900 Gig will have an entry price of £3.
