Fibla was born in first 70s beside the sea, grown in spanish post-franquism era and living in Barcelona since a few years ago. He has been involved in music since he was in School of Arts, as a member of club-pop art-referenced project The Congosound or doing music for videos and contemporary art installations. --------------- Fibla has released on much-respected label Sub Rosa / Quatermass (Belgium) and collaborated on other international labels such Expanding, Benbecula, Worm Interface (UK); Couchblip! (Australia); Klangkrieg, Mentalgroove, Morgen Industries, Underscan (Germany), Disasters by Choice (Italy), Cosmos, Bip Bip, SonarMusic (Barcelona), Thoi Thich Nhac and Plataforma LTW (Madrid). --------------- He’s also running spa.RK label, established in 2001, based in Barcelona, and Versus Electronics radio program at Scanner FM------------- Chopped-up beats and opening textures, subtle rhythms patterns, filled with a taste for smooth arhytmic methodicity, lunars sounds and melodies, everything interweawed on a solid sound, deeply belonging to the nowadays diversified electronic scene. ----------- Even if Fibla's sound is close to the british or german electro scenes, there is something more, some little details that indicates that this guy is from a place where the sun never forgets to shine...
CYNETART 2009 26.11. | 8pm :: opening at the festival theatre Hellerau with Roberto Zappalà and Poon Wei Ming
The 13th international festival for computer based art CYNETART is going to provide a collective atmospheric picture for the reflection on digital culture from 26 November until 06 December 2009 at the festival theatre Hellerau. This will be done by a variety of event formats, such as Automatic Clubbing, a presentation of the output of the European Tele-Plateaus project and the first VIPA-Congress.
Video- and performance-installations as well as a meditative computer game will be shown within Automatic Clubbing from 26 until 28 November. This will be embedded in electronic music by Monolake, eLBee BAD & friends, Jacob Korn or Paul St. Hilaire with Scion.
