Fighting For Lacey are a band from Brisbane, Australia that came together in early 2008 from an existing band involving Jeremy Beauchamp, Corey Hart, Jason Field and Sam Salonen.
But soon into their journey they realised they needed a front man. The word was put out and they quickly recruited Richard Jackson on vocals. The band quickly gelled and realised that the music that they were creating was unique but was one that would appeal to the masses.
Fighting For Lacey in their very short time have recorded a 2 track demo with Drew Myburgh from Keytone (The Paper and The Plane, xxxLionheartxxx) which has been mastered by the legendary Dave Neil at Modern Mastering (Parkway Drive, The Butterfly Effect).
The guys have also done 2 successful tours, one to Sydney and the other to Central Queensland. Their eccentric live show that really gets the crowd involved has proven a key to their success in the relatively small time they have been a band.
With their Debut EP being recorded in April by Drew Myburgh who recorded the bands demos. An East Coast, Adelaide and New Zealand tour is also to follow this release. 2009 is already shaping up to be a massive year for this band.
The band has also toured and/or played alongside well known Aussie and International acts Juke Kartel (USA), Stone Parade (syd), Town Hall Steps (syd), Benneson Theory, Crash Arcadia (melb), Guns For Glory (syd), Gold Coast legends Sleepers, Mackays heroes Madisonfox and Dont Come Monday.
