Scandalized by experimental alternative and electronic music, New York City introduces FIGO - a band that fuses intense rock energy with pounding electro-beats and samples, influenced by groups including Primal Scream, The Misfits, Iggy & The Stooges, and The Chemical Brothers. When not performing live, FIGO doubles as a DJ crew, devastating club dancefloors nationwide with heavy house and punk/electro mixes. Since forming in 2005, FIGO has been busy garnering a strong fan-base through both live and DJ gigs at clubs across the country, sharing bills with the likes of She Wants Revenge, The Presets, MSTRKRFT, ...Trail of Dead, Cut Copy, Metronomy, Motor, and Benevento Russo Duo. FIGO has appeared at major music festivals including Winter Music Conference, Amsterjam Festival, Monolith Festival, LA Weekly Detour Festival, and South By Southwest. In early 2008, New York producer/DJ Tommie Sunshine remixed "PLAZA," off FIGO's self titled 2007 EP, to critical acclaim across the world. Having just come off the red hot Ladytron / The Faint North American tour, FIGO will release their debut album this Summer 2009, followed by extensive touring this Fall. FIGO is vocalist and guitarist Parag Bhandari, bassist Paul Daly, guitarist Robert Rivadeneira, programmer Ryan Jones, and drummer Richard Stuverud.

PRESS
"Odd yet appealing mix of hard rock and techno. Has the sound of something that could takeover." CMJ MAGAZINE
"FIGO is one of those bands that combine elements of several genres to flawlessly create their own sound. Sometimes industrial, other times four to the floor rock, they incorporate many influences seemingly into tight cohesive tracks. Sounding a bit like Gravity Kills with unwavering beats and distant vocals, there is an underlying pop aesthetic that gives them that alternative rock edge. Hints of Pink Floyd pop up in the guitar lines while electronics bring it into another dimension entirely. Sharing the stage with artists like The Foo Fighters and Wolfmother, FIGO is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with." THE DELI (NYC)
"How many bands can you think of off the top of your head that have played with MOTOR and the Foo Fighters? If you're having trouble there, it's okay: FIGO's the first to do it, and it's because they're the only band whose sound fits in well with both bands. Believe it." GBH
"...FIGO plays ultra-amped, angry electro-rock. Good for a night out (on meth), we suppose." TIME OUT
"FIGO has been bangin' out unique combinations of electro and rock for some time now up in the Big Apple." URB MAGAZINE
"A little alternative, a bit electronic and whole lot of rock - FIGO sends their self titled monster. A fusion of styles that comes into a sound of its own, these boys are out to take the world by storm. Experimental pop with big vocals and ripping guitars, catch 'em soon before they spontaneously combust." NEW YORK WASTE
holy crap you guys are awesome. It was great to meet you. I had a hard time when your sets would end so 2 of my favorite bands could play. Thats how great you are!
