Scandalized by experimental alternative and electronic music, New York City introduces FIGO - a band that fuses intense rock energy with pounding electro-beats and samples, influenced by groups including Primal Scream, The Misfits, Iggy & The Stooges, and The Chemical Brothers. When not performing live, FIGO doubles as a DJ crew, devastating club dancefloors nationwide with heavy house and punk/electro mixes. Since forming in 2005, FIGO has been busy garnering a strong fan-base through both live and DJ gigs at clubs across the country, touring with or sharing bills with the likes of The Faint, She Wants Revenge, The Presets, MSTRKRFT, ...Trail of Dead, Cut Copy, Does It Offend You, N.A.S.A., and Ladytron. FIGO has appeared at major music festivals including Winter Music Conference, Amsterjam Festival, Monolith Festival, LA Weekly Detour Festival, and South By Southwest. In early 2008, New York producer/DJ Tommie Sunshine remixed "PLAZA," off FIGO's self titled debut EP, to critical acclaim across the world. Having just come off a red hot 2009 touring season including the Ladytron / The Faint North American tour, FIGO will release their debut EP this coming January, followed by extensive touring in the Springl. FIGO is vocalist and guitarist Parag Bhandari, bassist Paul Daly, guitarist Robert Rivadeneira, programmer Ryan Jones, and drummer Richard Stuverud.
